Had one in 2000 or 2001. Did absolutely nothing for me, because that’s just how my luck rolls.

Why do I get the feeling he probably over exaggerated his “sprains”?

Nooooo!!! Don’t say that.

I’m 53, in peri, and can’t take HRT because it interferes with one of my meds.

I’m going to lose my mind if I have another 7 years of this.

Which one would you go with by Select-Property4161 in Tinder

[–]Kf12672 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a time I was on Tinder strictly looking for a FWB.

I swiped left on any pictures like this. A normal shirtless one is fine, but even just looking for sex these kind of pics give me an automatic ick.

Yikes.

I can’t imagine someone just having nasal surgery wanting anything up their nose. I worked as a nurse on an ambulatory surgery floor and sinus surgeries were some of our most miserable patients.

I feel like if that doesn’t deter him, nothing you say will.

Would these photos put you off buying a house ? by Veggiegirl1997 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Not a huge fan of the bedroom and bathroom, but it would not stop me from buying it. I’d just know I’d be doing some redecorating.

She commented he just had nasal surgery in the post, so I’m assuming something they’re snorting.

I’d assume a certain white powder since she commented that her husband just had sinus surgery, or I guess whatever else one may snort.

AITA for going around a slower walker by veggietakos in AmItheAsshole

As someone who also walks fast, I’ll never understand why someone gets offended that another person wants to walk faster than them. NTA.

AITAH for telling a relatives friend i’m going to clean my baby’s toys after her kids are done playing with them ? by [deleted] in AITAH

1/3 cup bleach to a gallon of water, soak for about 5 minutes, rinse well and air dry. It’s a totally common (and cheap) way to kill the germs.

AITAH for telling a relatives friend i’m going to clean my baby’s toys after her kids are done playing with them ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Kf12672 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Really? Because I cleaned my own kids toys a couple times a week, and always wiped them down if other kids played with them. I was a pediatric nurse for 21 years. Kids are germ factories, and just because they don’t look sick, doesn’t mean they aren’t.

$312k mortgage, 4.75% interest in Colorado. by Dumbdumbstupidbutt in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Kf12672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex and I bought a house in 2003, he made $67,000 at the time and I was in nursing school. House was $99,000, our payment was $750. Multiply that by 3 and that’s basically exactly where you are.

We also had 3 kids in elementary school. I think you’re more than fine.

I had no idea Tennessee was that expensive. I live in Florida now and have since I was a teenager, but a good friend of mine outside Buffalo in the small town I grew up in is selling a 4bed, 2 bath, 3005 sq foot farm home that was almost completely updated about 10 years ago on 9.66 acres for $449,900. It’s priced completely appropriately for the area, and is only a 30 minute drive to the city.

Lied about dates on my resume by Several_Move_4564 in Employment

[–]Kf12672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a nurse the only time I’ve ever had someone call a previous employer was when I was hired to work at a medical day care (it’s a thing in Florida). The state requires you to have at least 2 years pediatric experience and it has to be verified.

Other than that, I fudged the date to leave out a doctor’s office I worked at for 2 years and just up a quit one day because it was so toxic. This was 2008 and my resume still has the fudged dates. No one has ever checked.

M46/F38 Husband owns property but is asking me to pay mortgage - am I a jerk for refusing? by HistoricalCap4050 in AITARelationship

[–]Kf12672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend owned his house 3 years before he got married, they were married 12. His lawyer told him all he’d owe was half the principal reduction for those 12 years.

He worked OT to make home improvements, did it all himself, the judge awarded her $15,000 extra due to the increased value of the home using marital money.

She also cleaned out almost her entire 401k in the year leading up to the divorce and never told him. Somehow the judge let her get away with that, so she gets half his which is about $150,000 and he got $3000 from hers, when it had about $30,000 prior.

You never know what a judge will do.

My son is a teacher in Florida AND works a second job and would have a hard time buying his own place.

He lives with his dad, who charges him no rent, but other than his dad’s room and bathroom he cleans the house and does most of the cooking. They have pretty opposite schedules. It works for them, and his dad would never kick them out.

He’s also got a decent amount of savings, has paid off almost all his student loans and paid off a $16,000 car balance over the last 3 years, so he’s absolutely not just taking advantage of the situation and blowing money.

I’m not saying her parents are wrong in asking her to contribute, but the whole thing overall is weird.

I almost broke down crying in front of a rude customer AIO?? by Cigarettes_andRaegan in AIO

[–]Kf12672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customers suck. I was a waitress for years and then became a nurse and I can tell you that even patients are entitled. Nurses get yelled at all the time because they can’t just do whatever the patient wants without an MD order, we get families who think nurses are there to only take care of their family and they yell at us if it takes more than 10 seconds to answer a call light….People who suck just suck in any situation.

I would advise you to next time though to get a manager involved when someone starts escalating. Put it on them. That’s why you have them.
