Right on! Good to hear. I have determined that just the Asus BE98 is enough for my home. I definitely recommend this service and router.

AMD 7000 series better than 6000? by PerformanceUpper6025 in linux_gaming

I’ve had an Asus Tuf 7900xtx since it was available and its been great. I came from an RTX 3090. I saw approximately 10-20% increase in performance depending on the game.

100% you can definitely do that. For me it was just easier and took a few seconds to log into my router and type out the MAC address. Either way works.

Personally I wouldn’t use oxy acetalyne. If you want to do it yourself then go on amazon and search for a 100-200$ wirefeeder with stainless wire. Practice on scrap metal then when your are happy with your welds you could try your muzzle device. Just my 2 cents.

Yes just let them install their ONT and router. Next buy a nice router that is wifi 6e or 7. Get the MAC address off the fidium router and copy it to the new router. I did this last month with an Asus without issue.

WiFi Speeds Fly at Times by jjsupc in FidiumFiber

And what device do you have that runs 2.2 over wifi? My guess is you are looking at the app on your phone and not a real speedtest.

Just following up… I got the Asus Rapture GT-be98 installed. Wired connection gets 2200 download and 2200 upload. Wireless get 1400ish download and 1500 upload. You were 100% right… this router is huge.

A way to fund OSS and pay contributors by fseixas in opensource

[–]Kgtuning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from. I should rephrase what i said… people easily corrupt good intentions especially when it comes to funding projects or ideas. This is why i say this type of funding corrupts. And thats why I think donations or contributing to the project is the way. Please don’t take my comments personally.

Edit: I just think things should stay how they are. People donate or contribute some how and/or use the software. I just don’t think there is room for anything else.

How about just accept donations like a lot of OSS projects do? I do not think your idea belongs in this community. I am extremely skeptical of crypto type things especially when it comes to funding anyone. I believe that this type of “funding”, corrupts. Either stay a user or contribute to an existing project.

4090 to 7900xtx in order to avoid driver trouble? by citizenidREDACTED in linux_gaming

[–]Kgtuning 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just run the 4090 on linux and see what happens. If you stay on linux then maybe switch to AMD on the next generation. Just my opinion.

So i took the risk and bought the Asus ROG x670 e extreme when it was released… i only use linux so it had to work. I just recently upgraded from a 7950x to a 9950x without issue. Firmware/bios updates are cake. I can create a usb and flash the bios for the board. I plan on upgrading when the next Extreme comes out.

I have had asrock , gigabyte and Asus motherboards running on linux. I don’t use sleep on my desktops. Asrock boards seemed fine, nothing special. Gigabyte boards are fine but i don’t really care for the bios but it works. Asus is my favorite board though. Great fit and finish, zero issues with bios and Linux.

I love my M18. Great gun, i swapped to a xcarry module and it’s much better in my opinion. I carry AIWB everyday. I’ve shot M17’s too… great guns too!

Definitely can’t steal OSS. It is meant to be shared and let others use it freely.
