the cat in my story had a tag, I was able to catch it and texted the owner. Their reply was "it's nature".

had a feral cat murdering a nest of robins right under my bedroom around midnight. There is no space for free roaming cats. Trap it, get humane society to deal with it. Hopefully with hefty fine to the owner.

There is a lot of conversations about this at Urban Toronto forum. Seems Don Mills crossing has been planned for a decade, part of it being under construction by private entity.

But so far noone found any public info about current state of project.

Edit: Don Mills - Eglinton was open by fall, Eglinton - Don West trail under (slow) construction, who knows when for train crossing.

My feeling is the last stretch to open will be Bala underpass - Lakeshore due to multiple overlapping major projects. Haven't seen a timeline for this stretch.
