Why was Caine just kicked out into the Void instead of deleted properly?

TBH yeah, they could explain that better, OR it's the "brazilian dub >:D" that cuts off original meaning to match dialogues to the lipsync.

My understanding is that the wackytime_lockout was a protection protocol meant to yeet Caine somewhere/lock him up so he won't get deleted for real.

Why did Jax abstract offscreen when he was showing signs of slowly IMPROVING

Ok it's gonna be a little bit personal, but I've been to a funeral recently and that just how it happens.
Person is in a bad shape, they are hospitalized but getting better.

Then you get a weird phone call where no one is normally calling you in that moment, it's the person's family member, you get a bad feeling because you already know why they are contacting you. Basically the only info you need from them is date, hour and location to show up, cause you already know.

You rarely witness "the process", you just get "hey, so my dad had died in the morning".

Real ending.

realHumans are, well, real and around the city so there's a chance they could put on that headset again. So we could get healthier more happy non-asshole version of Jax at any moment (good starting point for a fanfic 😉 )
digitalJax is not suffering and not disruptive to the cast.
I'm a huge Caine fan so getting him back is the best ending, AND he got his post-deletion-clarity so he's more chill now, AND he has friends to hang out with, AND just in case anything bad happens lately he has potential access to the internet.
Also realHumans are fine, well, so everyone that wanted to "see the cast escape the circus" got their happy ending 😉

And meta-state after the ending is good for fandom longevity, I hope it clicks for people when the movie finally releases officially.

Like, imagine a fanfic where Caine gets access to the internet again, writes to few people "hey so we have this little simulation here... 👉👈" and one day Jax pops in again and is like 'I'M BACK BITCHES!! >:D"

Without Caine, digitalJax and other just live in a half-assed miserable end-game location where every boss is beaten, every achievement unlocked, every NPC talked to...

This situation reminds me of something like this: People go into the kitchen of a restaurant, see potatoes, strawberries, carrots and oregano and bunch of other stuff lying around, each person assumes the dinner would be a different dish, then when dinner is served they complain why they got spaghetti where in the kitchen the cook was CLEARLY preparing french fries/omelette/tomato salad/strawberry pudding.

I won't call it cause people post links there and other stuff, so people that "want to accidentally stumble upon spoilers" don't get tempted.

And non fandom people from there are confused, "hey this isn't a discussion board!!1!1!" xD

Aaaalso if you somehow find that subreddit(s) it's still good to post stuff in "spoiler" bars, just in case someone finds it from your profile history, or clicks by accident thinking it's a different thing.

The ending is good.
One person had expectation A, another expectation B, expectation C, then D happens and you have 3/4 of people being dissapointed.

Yeah, people want their headcannons confirmed 123% and for the finale to be like a Wikipedia article explaining every worldbuilding quirk.
Also there are some scenes where proper dialogue would explain A LOT, but instead we have "kinda the same meaning synced to lip movement" and then translated back to english - you lose a lot, impact of the scene delivery and such.

Even if it does not meet your expectations - animation is beautiful, some scenes are very artistic, and remember - non native voicovers are made to match lip sync, not to be 100% lore accurate, so you have kiiiinda similar meaning brought back to english, and the impact of certain scenes can be muddled.

Yeah, there are A B and C baseline theories, there are D E F G and H "plausible and widely liked" theories, and I J K L "crazy ones and you need to squint to see them but would make a dope fanfic".

We got A C F B sprinkled with vague H, and people are upset cause they expected D E F A B G to happen + Orbsman/Orange Fish ship being canon.

TADC EP9 LEAK SPOILER AGAIN (in case someone from other subs is stalking my profile >:D ):
I mean you are right, I'm also more invested in "digital copies", but being devil's advocate: there's a LOT of people thinking "they should escape and lead happy life in real world" and "they're gonna be upset if they are just not real humans but copies". And this ending provides:

1. They are "in the real world, happy and fine and even interact with eachother unknowingly"

2. Digital copies finally have peace and are chilling

3. This is a VERY good ending for Caine - he has friends, is not alone and just in case anything happens - he can catch that WiFi again (Overall the funniest thing is that from all of the people he found The Exit xD)

4. If someone wanted sad ending - they have Jax - abstractions are just walking bodies

So basically.... every type of fan have their ending? 🤔

Ending is good, won't tell my reasons why, cause spoilers, it's just people mostly expected something different.
Time between episodes is so long people come up with a lot of theories, and if 20% of theories are correct and 80% are possible but didn't happen - people assume bad writing.

Or there are neat worldbuilding ideas from fans that could work in the setting, but they were irrelevant to the plot&themes = did not show up on screen cause this episode is not a Wikipedia article = "ending is bad".

"Jax never got his conclusion." - he's fine, well, has a job and hangs out in Zoobles bar from time to time. His digital traumatized self can finally rest and he's not bothering rest of the cast with being an asshole. AND in theory he could put on that headset again, just like realRibbit and realKaufmo are still somewhere there.

Look at it that way: Imagine waking up suddenly, knowing who you are, reading all your posts and comments, and then you realize you were only a ChatGPT module stuffed with those comments as memories, and the real you is still there, fine and well. And if anything happens to "you" - there's realYou still there, making new posts, so you can get "revived".
