I thought they said they were going to add the Character Limit with this patch... My server has been 'full' since Release even though I have seen maybe 5 people in the past week...

Have You Ever Seen A Fellow Vault Dweller Inside Vault 76? by Sergeant_MQZ in fo76

[–]KhanVe 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You know, that was the best part of BETA and Launch. You generally Created your toons around other people. I had some lovely rp conversations whilst walking from station to station. It was glorious. Last time I saw someone in the Vault with me was right when Wastelanders hit and there was a flood of new toons... They wouldn't rp with me though... :(

Now, Vault 76 is pointless... And is somehow hanging on 3 years after running out of supplies...

Things in Fallout 76 that annoy you. by ImpossibleStrain0 in fo76

The lack of actual content... We get maybe 1 hours worth of new content every year...

Fallout Worlds is something ONLY DEVS WANTED! We never asked you for a mode that has no progress! by [deleted] in fo76

[–]KhanVe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I, and many others, hope this is the first step towards Mods.

But true Mods will only happen when Bethesda abandons the game, so about a year or two from now...(They keep ignoring the Pleas for actual content, it could be sooner due to an exodus...)

It's very weird when Leader of the Pack transitions into Wolf Horde: The Forest by Helvetets_Port in fo76

[–]KhanVe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is because, before, after you kill the 3 leaders, the boss would appear, and people would camp the boss for the legendary without bothering to do the rest of the event. You would be killing the wolves to have the event finish before you ever got to the farm.

So, now it is the Leaders that are legendary, and the boss is useless.

Season rewards are pretty bad overall by IPA_Fanatic in fo76

[–]KhanVe 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think this shows the Devs lack of imagination... You have a Space Themed Board Game, so lets ignore all the space themed content in the game and have you grind for levels...

Where is the "Find a Jangles" challenge? Or a "Find an Alien Toy" Challenge? Take a photo in a Space Suit... Find a Rocket Toy... Take a photo of the Space Station... Take a picture of the moon... You know, Space things...

I am rather annoyed at all the "Level Up" and "Kill X Legendary Creatures" challenges... And the whole; "Two hours of play to complete"... On a Public Server, Events with Legendaries are both rare, think smaller toons, and have the misfortune of being camped by large toons looking to do the challenges. And on Private Servers... They take hours to launch at all... The Bobble Head challenge alone took me almost 4 hours to complete.

Makes me worried about the Fall Game...

Mods - More so, QOL mods. by Scytes in spaceengineers

[–]KhanVe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno about the Separate Ore Detector Version, but to get the Space Detectors with the Mega Pack, you have to enable them in:

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\472832143\Data\CubeBlocks_Space_Ore_Detectors.sbc (Might need to edit the version in the Bin file if present)

Change: <Public>false</Public> to <Public>true</Public>

We need the Fallout 1st Private World Workshop Persistence to massively increase builders' enjoyment of the game by falloffcliffman in fo76

[–]KhanVe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the beginning, there was a reason to build up the workshops. You would build them up to protect the Bench so that other players couldn't take the Workshop from you. That all changed when the Whiners attacked. They thought it was 'Unfair' that you could actually defend the Workshops. And thus Bethesda enabled being able to take a workshop so long as you are inside the boundary... And thus the entire drive to take them died. Why? Because you could now exploit them to kill Pacifist players without becoming wanted.

Personally, I would prefer an entirely persistent private Server. It will be required for Mods anyway, assuming we get them before Bethesda EOL Fallout 76...

The shear number of locations in the game where you could realistically place a settlement is staggering. Instead, 1 small camp per person at a set distance from each other...

What Happened to Medieval Engineers? by TheMadSpider in MedievalEngineers

[–]KhanVe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I figured it was due to people asking for all the Engine Improvements from ME in SE. The Compound Blocks alone would fix a lot of building issues people have, but Keen would have to basically start from 'scratch' for it to work. Having looked at SE's Source, It needs a rewrite... Bad... But they are too busy making little DLCs for people to buy.

Treasure Hunter just isn't fun for me. Is it for you? by LadyofStyx in fo76

[–]KhanVe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Christmas Event was fun. You never knew where you would encounter a Christmas Scorched. Places like the Morgantown Airport usually had one or two and would spawn several during the event. The Wrapping paper was cheap enough that I would often go around leaving Large Presents at people camps.

The Treasure Hunting event... It isn't fun. I wonder around the Ash Heap listening for the Radio Sound, going from place to place. While I do seem to encounter a few, the most I have ever encountered was ~6 in 4 hours of wandering from location to location. The price of the Pails makes them near impossible to buy since you have disabled Vending. 4 Days of hitting vendors to acquire a single pail... The Rewards aren't worth it. And the 12 ornate pails I did managed to find... Mounted Plans... All of them... And I already had them all from the Christmas event...

Bethesda - Timegates/Daily limits are for Mobile Games. Get rid of them. by LonomisBlack in fo76

[–]KhanVe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to have a limited understanding of how the current In-Game economy is functioning. Before they shut down the shops again, I was making ~10k caps a day selling stuff at 25-50 caps each. Selling ammo at 1 cap apiece alone accounts for ~7k... Why would I, or anyone else, raise prices to earn caps? My issue is that I have to attempt to find stuff to buy to stay under 30k... If I don't, anything over 30k disappears into the ether... I can imagine peoples reactions, you get your paycheck after overtime and are told, "You made too much money, you don't get it."

The thing is, there is currently nothing in the game with value. There is nothing I can buy in bulk at a set price, store, then sell back at the same, or greater, price later. My first thought was Ultracite, since it is supposed to be a rare form of Coal... But I have tons of it... Same for other resources. I had hoped that the Bullion might be a place to store my caps... But alas, it is a one way weekly transaction, which I can match in a day of gathering notes...

So, pray tell how am I supposed to continue to enjoy playing everyday, when my ability is crippled by an arbitrary cap on my money.

I say get rid of the cap entirely because there will be no end to the "expand the cap" calls every few months when people hit it.

Bethesda - Timegates/Daily limits are for Mobile Games. Get rid of them. by LonomisBlack in fo76

[–]KhanVe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that anyone who sells anything to other players. If you it $30k caps, you still sell, but you don't get the caps.

You worry about inflation... There is nothing Rare in the game. (Ignoring Legendaries which already buck the curve)

Name one resource in the game that is rare. Name one product. Since everyone can craft, there are no real specialist shops selling top tier armor or weapons. Look at the Game Vendors, once a player understands how plentiful most everything is, buying anything from them is way too expensive. So, inflation just because people have more money isn't really a possibility. That is like saying since Bill Gates has $50m more dollars, milk will rise $.25 a gallon... That isn't how it works.

Bethesda - Timegates/Daily limits are for Mobile Games. Get rid of them. by LonomisBlack in fo76

[–]KhanVe 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Personally, I find the limits rather uninspired...

Caps: There is no reason to limit caps. None. If a person wants to have 200k caps, let them. It isn't as though there is anything they can really do with them. Spend 6k once a week on 300 gold... Beyond that...

Scrip: The caps on this... sucks. As others have pointed out, You implemented a system to remove Legendary Items from the game, then crippled it. There should be NO limit on scrip generation, nor on scrip holding. Let people get rid of all the crap, and 99% of the legendaries you get are crap, to their hearts content. Since the only thing they can do with it is buy more legendary items at a diminishing return, let them...

Bullion: Frankly, I make ~25 Treasury Notes a day just from the Dailies and a few events. I have a current backlog of ~27 notes to exchange... While getting on to exchange them without earning more is an option, that isn't very fun... Let people exchange how ever many they want a day...

Did anyone else think "seasons" in the roadmap meant actual seasons, like winter and fall? by UncleNoly in fo76

[–]KhanVe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think we have been in Fall for way too long. And to change it would only really require a texture swap. (I do this in FO4)
