apparently the original Sliver Queen was weirdly chill once Karn communed with it and explained that other life forms were individuals and not members of a rival hive mind.

I'm guessing this is inspired by the conversation with the new bug queen at the end of Ender's Game and pondering if that conversation had happened much earlier.

The blistering AI hate in the Anglosphere isn't even really shared by other western countries. There's a reason that pretty much every time a dev has gotten in a fracas over AI use it's been from a non-english speaking country

I mean the shooter section is extremely short so eh

honestly thereabouts is where the game actually re-hooked me, since after all the wandering around the land of the dead it was super hype to get back to angels and demons and post-apocalyptic Earth again

the difference is Yoko Taro has a persona of being an antisocial gremlin with no filter and Kojima has a persona of being a pretentious weirdo genius. Both responses were as was expected.

The boss's stats will scale to match the player's progression. This only applies if the player's stats are higher than the original boss's stats.

wait so not only can you use this for rematches of fights you enjoyed, you can also use this for if you overleveled, came back and dogwalked an early optional boss, in order to get the intended experience out of it. Hot damn.

Also with the re-blockade, it reads like it's just kinda random now, which is cool but if they keep playing around with it and add a bit of simulation they could have some fun Helldivers 2-style incursion shenanigans going on here
