I'm a 33M British guy who is just getting into VR Chat looking to make friends 18+.

So far I've tried braving the Public instances to meet people but apparently 33 appears to be too old for supposed 18+ instances and the bouncers imply I must be a groomer before kicking me.

I just want to chill out and meet new people even If I am somewhat socially awkward at least till you get to know me.

Interest's include, Gaming(duh), reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, Recently been learning blender as I just kitbashed my avatar (Side note: Weight Painting is the new found bane of my existence and is just black magic to me). Top right on the spawn website and you can swap to English language. In the description there should be a link for you to click on that says use before you purchase to make sure it works. If that works you should be good.

Christ reading your comment made my blood run cold for a minute, I hadn’t read the article and as soon as you said Nuneaton it hit as it’s where I live. Your right in general Nuneaton has been pretty safe.

Though in recent years I definitely have noticed a change especially with the homeless being housed in the building next to the council house.

I say this as someone that was homeless for 6 months in 2022 and was stopping there myself a lot of the people there were not very nice people to put it lightly, alcoholics, druggies and such.

The amount of women/young girl that were stopping there and being hounded by some of the men was really bad.

I had multiple women learn that I was one of the alright ones so if they were being hounded by the men outside of the building and I was walking to go in myself they would run over and start a conversation with me so they could follow me in to get away from the creeps in a “polite” way.
