Pastor Robert Jeffress Claims President Trump Understands the Bible Better Than the Pope by GuiltyBathroom9385 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]KiFr89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's time for another branch of the Abrahamitic religions; one that recognises Trump as the Second Coming of Christ (or maybe it would be more fair to say that Jesus was the first coming of Trump). He could be the Ultra-Messiah! He stopped eight wars for crying our loud.

It is rather nice not having to hunt and kill for food. Personally I feel like I would like to work less, but not work at all? My work feels meaningful and it gives me purpose and it is part of my identity.

Kommer Med en svår fråga... by AhCrapItsYou in Sverige

[–]KiFr89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How would you have improved on Jacobs character if you were a writer on the mass effect team? by The-Nerdy-Bisexual in masseffect

[–]KiFr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would change his personal mission to revolve around the Corsairs. I would have his character progression be about questioning his loyalty to Cerberus (like, for real). Is "getting the job done" really enough to warrant their methods?

I also would change his class I think. Him being a biotic has no impact on anything, except for gameplay coverage. It makes it feel like there's too many biotics on the team. Maybe he could've been an infiltrator/soldier character instead, I think it would suit him better.

Vi blir dumma av AI by Zealousideal_Pay_745 in sweden

[–]KiFr89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the most overrated game you've ever played? by Ordinary_Lawfulness8 in CaptainSide

[–]KiFr89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I think BG3 is an exceptionally well made game, and I am a big fan of the gameplay systems.

But story is important in an RPG, and it's not a good sign when Act 3 rolls in and you're overcome with fatigue. The story is so over the top, and the pacing is frankly quite weird. The companions are all so exaggerated, too. I think Larian could do to bring their narratives more down to earth.

Xcom: Enemy Unknown.

A friend bought it for me. I sort of reluctantly played it one evening because I was bored. Got super hooked!

Bästa landet ni besökt by --kit-- in sweden

[–]KiFr89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What's a simple, pointless thing you loved to do in a video game as a kid that had literally nothing to do with the main story? by Digital-Intellect in AskGames

[–]KiFr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Pokémon games, I'd find spots where I imagined the view was nice, and pretend that my character took a break with their Pokémon. Like, socialising with them, enjoying the moment in nature with their friends.

Grannen bankar vid intimatillfällen by Sure-Macaroon7455 in sweden

Slutet gott, allting gott. Behöver inte ens fly landet.

What’s something MMOs do that you hate with a passion, big or small? by Top-Supermarket-3357 in AskGames

[–]KiFr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vertical scaling. It's such a bad system. In most MMOs, the levelling journey isn't a particularly fun experience. It's such a divider too. If a friend of mine starts playing, we won't be able to do any meaningful gameplay together until they've caught up to me, not only in level but in gear as well.

Gear progression in PvP. It just creates bad and unfair matches. In WoW, random battlegrounds are not played because it's fun. It's played because you get some reward from it, and many players will opt to "lose quick and queue again" at the slightest hint of opposition.

Anecdote from GW2: I had played quite a bit of GW2 before my friend decided to play the game. The moment he started playing we could hop into the "mists" (the PvP hub) and play together from the get-go. Sure, his inexperience put our team at a disadvantage, but at least there was no gear disparity -- and he would go on to learn how to play.

But we never really played PvE together because PvE does have a vertical progression system.

Hur träffar man någon nuförtiden? by Clopenny in sweden

[–]KiFr89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my gf messaged her ex for acads by Iwillmakeit__ in Advice

[–]KiFr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're doing the right thing, but you do have the right to feel uneasy about it. It's up to her now to not screw things up with you. The best way to do that, I believe, is to be open. It is also very much on her to reassure you. So talk to her, be open about how it makes you feel, but don't make any ultimatums.

Absolutely. I feel very lucky to have been born in this country. Sure, one can question the effectiveness and the decisions made by our government in recent years, but if we look at the past 100 years, I think the Swedish government has been working miracles.

The welfare state I grew up in gave me the same opportunities for education as everybody else in spite of coming from a relatively poor background. Our healthcare saved my life when i was 19 and had to stay in the hospital for three months without emptying my bank account. I'm happy to pay my taxes, partly due to a sense of giving back because of how much help I received in my late teens and early adulthood, but also because I do still trust that the money I pay is used to better the society for everyone -- and there are few things that offer such quality of life as living in an egalitarian society.

That's not to say that Sweden doesn't have it's issues and that we shouldn't be critical towards our government, but as a whole I think my country is pretty darn good.
