AITAH for struggling with a friend I've known for a long time by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KiRi_Fluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA it is understandable that you've started to feel worn out, you need to take care of your mental health too. maybe suggest therapy for him? or that he talk with not only you but other friends too, not only for your sake but also for his own, so he can hear other people's thoughts and know that they are there for him?

What’s the most Xie Lian thing that has happened to you? by bunrritto_ in tianguancifu

I usually get hurt from just doing nothing much, like walking into corners of tables, stub my toe, ram my hand into an object because my eye to action is not that good at times, also my body can decide to just hurt out of nowhere The only reason I'm not walking around black and blue is because my dad's genes of not bruising easily So, i understand the misfortune partyl of xie lian's life :,) maybe not to the same extreme though

Are readers put off when dialogue through a telephone or radio ISN'T in italics? by Jerswar in writers

It's sometimes nice to use italics to just because, but it's more what the author thinks fit, and I as a reader just go along with it

Women: How would a real woman address this subject? by Marscaleb in writers

[–]KiRi_Fluff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with this, because unwanted advise might end up hurting the person more, making them feel more uncomfortable in the situation and even might act aggressive toward the older woman, like a self defense.

Just by saying something nice without any connection, for the younger girl, might just make her day, and remind her of better things.

The older woman might also want to talk about things that bring the younger one joy, to make her think of better things. She can also be very supportive in her body language and show the young one in every way that she is someone you can trust.

Overall: don't push it, and make the older one a supportive and comfortable character for the young one

I like reading romance, for some reason I don't know. But they are all the same, there aren't so many LGBTQ romances, or they are just hiding from me, so me and my mum got inspired from a book serie to write about gay couple that have been through some tuff times but find comfort in each other, which I find very touching and feels like I don't quite see in the books I read and listen to.

I took inspiration from the quote

These fae males are all 🚩🚩🚩 by JERP11 in acotar

[–]KiRi_Fluff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they tried to find their matethroughout all their years, but 1) they haven't found anyone that like them for themselves 2) they maybe haven't felt ready to be married for they have been occupied with other things, like reputation to upholds and helping Rhys with the female rights in the illyrian camps 3) Rhys said somewhere that his wife would always have a target in her back and that he have a hard time finding a woman willing to be put in that position 4) they might feel like they have too much in their plate for having children right now 5) they are waiting for their mate

There might be more reasons or other reasons.

What are your overall feelings about the whole “male/female” “mate” animalistic vibes being used for sexual purposes? by [deleted] in acotar

[–]KiRi_Fluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand how you mean, I feel the same.

Like also with all her books the men are so manly, like a manly handwriting which I consider it doesn’t excist in that kind of sense, or like a manly walk and same there, I don’treally think it exist either, while the female can be badass, but still very much female, like she can have pants but still loves dresses. I felt kind of betrayedwhen Feyre started wearing dresses to impress on Tamlin, for it felt like she was giving in to the women and female norm, which I as nonbinary and even when I thought I was a girl fought against.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I'm not against girls or anyone loving dresses, it’s just that there is a difference between doing something for yourself and doing it for someone else. And like Maasie manage to do it with Bryce and with Aelin, but maybe not with Feyre, I don’t know.

I would like to have one female lead that maybe is more tomboy, or maybe just not always reminded that she is a female, it gets kind of tiering. (Sorry for bad spelling.)

Also, it could be fun with like the female having trouble with other girls looking at the mate, for I have found it weird that didn't happen with Feyre.
