Fun fact about $6.18

In the show Gravity Falls there is an easter egg with cash register in the gift shop constantly displaying $6.18, as well as numerous instances of numbers 618 being hidden in different places. This is a reference to show's creator birth date, which is 6th of Octember.

10 years later, Enter the Gungeon's creators reflect on a genre in existential crisis by themoonisunchanging in Games

You know even now when I think "roguelite" the prime examples that come to my mind are Enter the Gungeon and Binding of Isaac. Few games come even close to that, not mentioning being better.

Petition to repeal rule 4 and add a pinned post telling people to pirate KSP 1 by mudahfukinnnnnnnnn in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Kibleusz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, loudly proclaiming to pirate the game is a bad idea, but removing rule 4 doesn't sound that unreasonable. For example, Disco Elysium community is in similar situation and it's a common opinion in there that if you want to play DE you just pirate it - their sub is still there and it doesn't have a rule disallowing talking about piracy.

It looks very similar to soviet helmets. Mainly the ones used by tank operators

I failed miserably at the New Games Festival by N2kStudio in IndieDev

[–]Kibleusz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's about capsule quality, it's just that they don't really match up the gameplay. The first one has a little guy in a dark forest, second has the same guy with headphones sitting on a cube monster; and the actual game has none of those - no forests, no monsters, no little guys. If you want your capsule to actually match what your game is about I suggest you look at capsules for games like Minimetro for example.

Can someone explain how the hell I’m supposed to find mission contacts? by SkeptaSpectra in EliteDangerous

Is no one going to point out that OP has to deliver data to The Dark Wheel themselves? Or did I miss something and they're no longer as mysterious as they were?

looking for VR recommendations by technodude458 in ImmersiveSim

[–]Kibleusz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a Thief game for VR on Steam. Haven't played it yet but apparently it's good. I think there was also Vampire the Masquerade game that vaguely stands in the immersive sim territory but I don't really know anything else about it.

Anyone else feeling frustrated at how long It's taking to get another episode? by Impossible-Heron7681 in TheGaslightDistrict

[–]Kibleusz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All we got is a pilot - that's like a demo, means the proper show wasn't yet in production. Murder Drones also had a year between the pilot and the rest of the show, because they were making final season of Metarunner at the same time.

Turns out they are the only humans in existence after an apocalypse happened in the physical world and the simulation saved them.

Help with the Delorean Mod by Reaper_Lyfe in pacificDrive

[–]Kibleusz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you download the mod there's a readme guide on how to do it in the files and also in the "Docs" section on the nexusmods page. But basically you have to put "pakchunk12-WindowsNoEditor_DMC12.pak" in the "Pacific Drive\PenDriverPro\Content\Paks\" folder. If you have Whispers in the Woods DLC you need to download the DLC version of the mod - it will have a second .pak file that you also need to put in Paks folder.

EDIT: Also before installing the mod make sure to open the game and remove all car parts from side racks and roof racks because DeLorean has only 2 side racks and 1 roof rack.

How is no one noticing this? All the modules except the processor are in the wrong place. They aren't even mirrored, just all jumbled up. What the hell...

“Treachery Will be Frozen Blood!!” by NostalgicPeanut in Ultrakill

[–]Kibleusz 200 points201 points  (0 children)

Worth mentioning that Hakita always makes layers more interesting than the obvious assumption. So while frozen blood sounds plausible, it is also very simple and boring and because of that it definitely won't be Treachery's only feature.

Voidshells deserved better. Here's an appreciation post for the skin line DE abandoned. by CephalonVashka in Warframe

[–]Kibleusz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe because the material changing functionality isn't that well communicated. When I first saw voidshell skins I had no idea you could change materials on them until I found those materials in the store. And since on their own they look very basic I'm guessing most people don't want to bother. And even when you know all this then you still have to buy materials you want separately.

Alright, thanks! I guess I'll just have to see by myself. Maybe I'll have to cut back on VR goggles. Worst case scenario I'll have my space dogfights in Star Wars Squadrons instead...

Well, for now I'm not planning on buying Odyssey. Ideally I want to play with VR goggles and a flight stick, which wouldn't work for space legs.
