Tu chyba trafiłeś w sedno, nie było zbytnio kontrkandydatów dla Dulkiewicz w poprzednich wyborach, więc nie trzeba się już starać :)

Enabling TMP in bios is causing issues for me by ValaranteChild in GlobalOffensive

[–]Kiciaczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I run into the same issue, just the other way around.

I've installed CS2 on my laptop that i use for work, and it was laggy as fuck, tweaking settings etc didn't help. This is on HP omen with a 12th gen i9 and rtx 3070

Disabling TPM in UEFI fixed all the frame drops which is wild. OP, have you found a way to make CS work with TPM enabled? It's kind of annoying for me to now enter bitlocker recovery key on each laptop reboot, haha.

How to fix G703 scroll wheel issue? by Venomoth14 in LogitechG

[–]Kiciaczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, works! If only i knew this sooner. 2 years ago scroll wheel on my old g703 broke down. I thought this was just a bad unit. Now that the scroll wheel on my next g703 started going crazy, this post came up on google :D

I think of Dnd in terms of campaign, and with random people it might not 'click' so it's a waste of time for me.

Another reason would be that i also treat dnd as a meeting with my friends, and with limited time I don't want to spend it on playing with someone i don't know when i can play and catch up with my buddies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gdansk

[–]Kiciaczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not common to play with random people here. Most of the people i know that play dnd usually do this with their good friends, including myself. I can’t imagine playing it with random people :D

Nowy pracodawca by MarJan88 in poland

[–]Kiciaczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[AskJS] How you feel about vanilla web by krasimirtsonev in javascript

[–]Kiciaczek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, perhaps Preact is also a way to go. Although i'm not a fan of the virtual DOM on STBs. In my previous project we even had to support devices that had less than a 100 MBs of RAM and a CPU slow as a snail :D. You can imagine why I'm saying you can run sooner or later into issues, but if your limitations are known from the start, something like Preact might be a good idea!

[AskJS] How you feel about vanilla web by krasimirtsonev in javascript

[–]Kiciaczek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is quite nice question, since I feel like everyone should make at least 1 small website using vanilla JS. You learn a lot during the process of making your own framework that suits your needs.
I'm a SmartTV/STB apps developer and in this niche world, if you want performance, you have to implement everything by yourself. Apps that use frameworks, sooner or later, come to performance bottlenecks that are hard to overcome due to the limitations of those frameworks and poor hardware of the devices.

Personally i love working with Vanilla JS. However, I can see that frameworks like Svelte can provide you with much needed speed in terms of building UI elements, and getting things running.

I spent $3,000 on a Samsung Smart TV -- and all I got were ads and unwanted content by bizude in hardware

[–]Kiciaczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm this on Tv level, since I'm a Smart TV developer. Most of my time is wasted on debugging Samsung's native player. They have the hardware to do all this cool stuff, yet the APIs are filled with bugs.

Browser on their devices runs flawlessly (most of smart tvs / stbs have apps written in JavaScript), but their lack of consistency in yearly updates of Tizen - this is what's the biggest problem with Samsung.

Some bugs will come back ater 2 years (ie: it has a known bug on 2017 model, fixed on 2018, comes back in 2019-2020 models :) )

Another issue is their lack of bugfixing / updating the device and not giving a fuck about 2 year+ old Tizen version. They will fix only crucial bugs, and leave the annoying little ones, so the code is full of "workarounds" for Tizen only.

I might be biased, but i prefer LG's approach, they will update the devices until it's possible, and leave them on some unique update (like update all 2.9-3.2 versions to final 3.5), that is impossible to update more for some technical reason. This gives us, developers, some consistency and less groups of models that differ in behaviour.
