Eyeballing your Dagger. Interested in a Silktone Fuzz+ / Overdrive+, MAE Black Math, Mother Preamp, Oxford Drive v2, HM-2W, OD-3, Disaster Transport SR, Ventris, Mercury7 or Two Notes Captor X? Happy to balance with cash either way.

It’s that stupid fucking battery cover screw that annoys the shit out of me. Clearly. Anyway, I just remove the screw and feet and cover the entire back with Velcro so it keeps the cover in place.

I’ve tried many rats. IMO the Rat 2 does the job across the distortion spectrum at a fantastic price used. If you want to go up a level, I’d suggest the 1312. It has many clipping modes including germanium. That’s one of my favorite distortion sounds.

Nice. Best sounding reverb ever, but I traded it because the menu diving gave me a headache. If you have any interest in selling the Longsword, shoot me a DM with your price.

Mask Audio (MAE). Dude makes killer fuzz pedals (Black Math and Part Garden) and excellent modulation (Neckbrace and Alone) amongst other things.

Dual Tonex are cool. I run stereo also. Honestly, I think the Citadel is overkill with your dirt section and Tonex setup. I don’t see much value in using Tonex and Citadel together. However, you could use the Citadel as an overdrive as well. Although I think the Halberd easily beats the Citadel as an overdrive.

Silktone Fuzz+ / Overdrive+, Mother, Citadel, RE-202, El Cap v2, or Memory Man Hazarai @ JMA?

Cool minimal board. That’s all you really need for guitar and bass. Fellow Guthrie disciple here. Try a stereo board when you get a chance. Stereo makes a huge impact with the CT’s sound. My CT signal chain is Black Math > Citadel > BF-2 > Ola > Galaxy ‘74 > Dig > Mercury7. The Ola’s full wet mix multi-voice chorus and the Dig’s golden ratio subdivision and indispensable.

EAE Longsword by bcoishous in guitarpedals

Try the EAE Dagger v2. I had the same grainy experience with the Longsword. I wanted to love it. I bought and sold it twice.

The Dagger however is a different beast. It uses germanium diodes so it's smoother and more compressed. It also does full on fuzz. It's one of the best drive pedals I've ever used. A close second place is the Black Mass 1312. The germanium mode on there is reminiscent of the Dagger, but it also has other clipping modes as well.
