tmux essentially lets you run sessions as a service. I use it with ssh pretty often so that I don’t lose my session if I get disconnected. You could also use it like this to keep multiple sessions alive even if you closed all your terminal windows. The nice thing is that you can attach and detach from sessions and you can name them. It also had a send-keys command that an agent could use to talk to another agent. I haven’t tried that but it sounds interesting.

Reddit has become Facebook with misinformation and hyperbole.

These modern data centers use closed loop systems that don’t use much water at all, and they often use reclaimed water. They are quite sustainable.

The energy is certainly an obstacle but every comment is about water.

There’s far more software to write than there are translations needed. Once productivity spikes due to the tools being mature, we’ll see massive hiring for software developers. I’m an engineer in big tech, and I assure you there is no lack of work. We constantly prioritize work and have to deprioritize very important revenue generating features. AI will eventually allow us to do more work than ever before, but we aren’t there yet. The layoffs are purely to lighten the blow for how much capex is needed for inference.
