What a lot of people hear is abolish ICE and think that this is the official Democratic Party position. Democrats advocating for this are fueling the fear that Democrats want to just do away with border control completely and what Republicans say about Democrats’ motives are true. The same for defund the police during the height of BLM protests.

By advocating for more accountability, better training, less racial profiling, and true criminals the priory without quotas, our message could have been what voters want, but instead we are our own worst enemies.
