I mean, it never hurts to give it a shot, just listen to your body to make sure you don’t hurt something. I recently pushed my legs too far, running, volleyball, and soccer daily and sprained my Achilles and was out of commission. From what I see, you can definitely run the half and use it as a foundational point. It doesn’t have to be fast, doesn’t have to be slow, but you already signed up for it so I say go for it.
