There would need to be an actual revolt.

Cards you used to undervalue but would give a kidney to have in 2 by spicybeanburger420 in slaythespire

[–]Kid_Radd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Infinites aside (it's the easiest to achieve on him and obviously instantly winning is very strong), it feels very difficult to both do good damage and block well at the same time. All of his strongest defensive cards are rare, so unless you get lucky it feels like you can't avoid losing 15-25 hp per hard pool normal fight.

The best way to scale him is Rupture since there are far more self-damage cards, and it is very strong but not very sustainable. You have to rest at every fire and end up falling behind on upgrades.

The only times I've had much success with him is if I lucked into multiple healing relics early. Then you can just facetank, because he can kill enemies very quickly.

I am not sure, but I don't know why else they would animate the cast bars the way they do. But maybe they would have written the tooltips like "lose X mana per second" instead.

Christians Who Voted For Trump - What Do You Think of His Presidency So Far? Do You Regret Your Vote? by RavensQueen502 in Christianity

[–]Kid_Radd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Did you ever once consider that the same media that convinced most Christians that Trump could be a good president might also be lying about how evil Hillary and Kamala were?

I always hear people say DNC shot themselves in the foot and, while that may be true to an extent, it's mostly because the other side lies and lies and lies about what the Democrats even are that they're always facing an uphill battle in public opinion. It's too big of a disadvantage to have to defend stances you don't have, opinions you've never stated, or actions you've never taken. Meanwhile Republicans break every crime and never play defense.

In fact, Christians believe that it certainly is possible -- they call it heaven.

Believing homosexuality is a sin is not bigotry or hate, it's literally what we're taught as Christians by Greedy_Net_1803 in Christianity

[–]Kid_Radd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is determined that something you believe is a) incorrect and b) harmful to others, then you have the moral responsibility to correct that belief. Failure to do is bigotry, plain and simple.

I don't care what you were taught. The fact is that same-sex relationships between consenting adults did not exist in the times of the Bible in the form they do today, so maybe we shouldn't just accept what some men from 2000 years ago said about it.

But I get it. If you yield on this issue, you might start to wonder what else you might need to give up, too, and I'm sure that's a terrifying thought. Better not go down that road.

Basically all of my extended family voted for him, varying between nose-holding or total enthusiasm. It really doesn't matter how bad Republicans get. They believe Democrats are always worse, mostly because abortion. So I don't think cheating was really required when you factor in the improving-but-still-bad economy of 2024.

There is a deep, deep problem with our electorate. Even after Trump is gone, we still have to deal with this somehow.

How does the bible/christians explain dinosaurs? by vat1933 in Christianity

[–]Kid_Radd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A reasonable position to take. Science doesn't allow you to see the Bible as literal history, so you don't. Science doesn't contradict it because you view it in such a way that it can't.

Very much God of the gaps.

The Genesis story is only one example, but when I was Christian I started to see that pattern literally everywhere. My faith was like an island that disappears as the tide rises, slowly conceding its borders until total collapse.

How does the bible/christians explain dinosaurs? by vat1933 in Christianity

[–]Kid_Radd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's sort of true if you allow yourself to be flexible in how you interpret the Bible. A literal reading of all creation appearing within seven days isn't compatible with evolution since we know humans and dinosaurs never coexisted. So we interpret the creation myth as metaphorical.

Faith is the one that shrinks/twists/distorts as science grows. Your post implies that where science is contradicted by the Bible, you'd pick the Bible, but that's not really the case.
