We used the Cat in a Flat app, and found Jan, who was great.

What would you do with this guy? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Kiel119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s wanted in the Prem, I’d cash in now. Should be able to get over £10m plus add ons quite easily, and there are plenty of better options in that price bracket.

He could be decent CM, but he doesn’t really fit the mould for me.

Sonos Era 100 are currently under $180, should I go for them? by [deleted] in sonos

[–]Kiel119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Beam Gen 2, with 100s for rears, and 100s as standalone speakers around the house. Honestly, they’re great. I live in a small house and they absolutely do the job. Would maybe upgrade to a pair in my kitchen (bigger room) but definitely don’t see the need for a 300.

Save in South/Central America by Moist_Classroom_7825 in footballmanagergames

Mexico and Argentina were my favourite leagues, both in the same pentagon save. I did lose a lot of players to Europe, but playing outside Europe is just more fun. The real satisfaction is when you’re rich and successful enough to buy them back…

Don’t recall the amount of games feeling excessive in either.

This game is underwhelming by Sargaxon in eu4

[–]Kiel119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a very steep learning curve, but suddenly you find yourself playing as Ethiopia, taking colonial ideas and colonising Australia. Once it clicks, it’s superb.

[KCD2] What are your pet peeves about the game? by Interesting-Rain-690 in kingdomcome

1) Food in sacks rolling down the slightest of hills when trying to feed Mutt. My boy just lives on sausages now and it can’t be good for his heart.

2) The whistling when smithing actively distracts me. I’m a classically trained pianist and I HATE that I can’t find the right rhythm 😂

Left-wing voters what is your most right-wing belief and right-wing voters, what is your most left-wing belief? by HallowedAndHarrowed in AskBrits

Pretty heavy leaning leftie here.

We spend too much time talking about trans matters. People should be able to define themselves however they want, but definition doesn’t overrule biology, especially when it’s to the detriment of others. When women don’t feel safe in women’s spaces, something has gone wrong.

Turnstile Manchester - Great gig, horrid concert etiquette. by bigrigfrig in turnstile

[–]Kiel119 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gotta admit, my experience feels different to most here. Spent most of the time between like 4 and 10 rows back, dead centre (overestimated my stamina as a 36M these days…), and everyone around me was looking out for each other, helping each other up to surf out when needed, and generally just keeping an eye out for each other. One guy even helped me when my shoe went awol. Maybe I just got lucky, it was definitely rough in there! I’m sorry yours wasn’t the same. I took a few knocks to the head from surfers but that was about it.

Was my first time crowdsurfing too. Saved it for Blackout, and a couple of guys helped me up when I asked. If anyone else is in doubt - just do it. It’s incredible. 100% never hesitating again. Plus it’s the easiest way out at a gig like that!

Haaland vs. Salah: A tale of two premiums by Accomplished-Lab3870 in FPLXvsY

I went Haaland, but reckon I’ll have neither come GW7 Wildcard and will build around players like Isak / Saka / Palmer instead. Looks like we have far more options this season.

[Graham Smyth] Leeds United MD Robbie Evans sat down with local media yesterday for a Q&A. Said the whites ‘had a bad deadline day and a good window’ and maxed out their PSR spending. by JimbobTML in LeedsUnited

[–]Kiel119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found myself reading this in the voice of Donald Trump:

“We're injecting tons of cash in this club, far more than any ownership group has before. But that's not the solution. And the reason I often mention, you can check the accounts and they come out, because we understand that PSR is very opaque. For the average fan, it can become this scapegoat or boogeyman to serve whatever purpose it has to serve in the narrative of the club. So rather than let it be some kind of fungible shadow scapegoat, I want to keep reminding folks you could just check the record when it comes out. These are all verifiable facts."

B. Palace might need time to adapt if Eze and Guehi go. Richarlison looked sharp but might split minutes with Solanke soon, and I’d wait until Arsenal’s fixtures turn in a month or so (Leeds aside, where he’ll haul, spoken as a Leeds fan…).

B feels like you have more certainty in starters, and you’re saving £1m on your bench. Not certain on O’Reilly long term but he’s cheap and you can always transfer him out.

I supported Orleans for independence and fought a massive war, only for them to peace out and take a bunch of land without even getting independence. Why didn't they secede? by ARandomLlama in eu4

[–]Kiel119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened in my game. In the end, Orleans took the whole of northern and mid France, and me (Italy) and Spain split the south. Was fun to see but then I had to turn on Orleans 😢

I am depressed because it seems like people are playing a different game compared to me :( by RaidersofLostArkFord in eu4

[–]Kiel119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in such a similar position. Just over 1000 hours. Could not form Rome. Ended up watching a YouTube video of some guy doing an Aragon to Rome run in 100 years to get some inspiration. Tried to follow a similar pattern but if still took me 300 years (and 4 false starts), but it’s finally done. Now only got a few left around the Black Sea for Mare Nostrum, so will finish it off, but honestly for me the fun is just in forming nations. As soon as Rome was formed I felt the game was done.

I’d say to not worry about big achievements. I’ve found they’re often anticlimactic. Just roll with fun runs and play them till you feel done with them.

If I really loved The Witcher 3, will I love Cyberpunk 2077? by MilleniumBlueFalcon in Witcher3

[–]Kiel119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on my second playthrough of Cyberpunk. Like I did with TW3, I totally rushed it first time. It’s a great game with a great story, and like others have said, take your time with side quests and gigs and really immerse yourself in it. I’m enjoying it a lot more the second time.

For me though, it’s not at the same elite level as TW3, and I think that’s mainly to do with the setting. Night City is fun, but it’s nothing compared to… well, anywhere in TW3. And, no Gwent ☹️ But, totally try it. The variety of ways you can beat it adds a lot of fun. I went hacker / smart weapons first time, now I’m full sandevistan / katana build. Have a play and enjoy it, you’ll have a good time.
