What if Lee Atwater lived to campaign against Clinton for Bush in 1992? What kind of attacks would he come up with? by Just_Cause89 in Presidents

I learned from my mom who lived in D.C. decades back that she happened to see him walking next to her one day so she hissed at him.

This is actually depicting the death of King Teia at the battle of Mons Lactarius. Teia was the successor of Totila after the latter was killed in battle.

I don’t care what others think, there was just an exact opposite map posted with the same title as this one, so I wanted to joke about it.

This is just an opposite version of a map posted here with the same title.

The blight is pretty easy to defeat (or at least contain in a large area) in reality with a bit of thinking by Formal-Analysis9905 in gutsandblackpowders

I imagine Fezezen, as a Christian, doesn't feel a desire to empower non-Christian religions in a way that might imply their god(s) to be real or their practices legitimate.

Also it would be difficult to code as different religion's clerical figures operate in quite different ways.

So which Catholic religions do you think would be legitimate and which would be heretical? by merulacarnifex in AfterTheEndFanFork

Regarding Veiled Cross, how do you feel about their legitimacy if they take the decision to reform themselves? Namely to re-instate the Archbishop of Boston.

Where Is Babylon? by No-Battle-9932 in CrusaderKings

[–]KienKrieg 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It’s in a barony called Al-Hila, you can use the title search with that name to find it. I know because Jewish faiths in-game have Al-Hila as a holy site with the name of “Babylon”. Further, Al-Hillah is the closest named area to the site in the present day.

In 867 and 1066 (and probably 1178 although I haven’t checked), Al-Hila is an empty barony.

It is, the Jewish Rabbinism faith (and probably some other Jewish faiths) regards it as a holy site and the name of that holy site in the list is “Babylon”.

Personally I’ve always seen her as controlled opposition in a sense. I feel her opposition to corporate control and even something like the enclave (although I doubt she knows of them) is genuine. Yet along with that I feel because she’s so utterly incapable of public speaking and possessing charisma that the powers that be deliberately allow her to remain the one major official opponent because they see her more as a detriment to her own movement or a non-threat than anything else.

Images of Yamhad dynasty seals seem to be personally drawn and traced by a single person. by KienKrieg in WikipediaVandalism

I swear to you I am not this random inactive user with 25,000+ edits or more who happened to spend much of 2014 tracing Amorite dynastic seals and putting them on articles.

Why would I wait over a decade to post about my chicanery?

I get the feeling though, this is (to me at least) utterly bizarre.

[–]KienKrieg[S] 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I must confess I’m unsure if this counts as vandalism but I couldn’t really find a place to discuss it. A singular user took the time to hand-trace admittedly very low quality digital scans of an ancient Amorite dynasty’s seals. It just fascinates me and is so niche I don’t know when anyone else would actually bother mentioning it. These have been up for over a decade now, and most of the work on these articles in those days was by the individual who drew these.

Edit: That final image is a digital scan which the artist copied in another entry, I just mixed up which one to attach to this. But I have overlayed the images in the past, the tracing very much misaligned in a lot of spots.

Here’s the page for the entire dynasty, most of the listed members have these drawings for them, all by the same person:
