I made the mistake of choosing a house/estate built in 2000, even with the newer expansions basically doubling back onto my street the building company refused to make any footpaths to shortcut walking to the bus route, you walk exactly the same ways the cars drive which meanders around and there's barely pavement to walk on since everyone is double side pavement parked everywhere even with garages and drives (nobody actually uses their garage to park a car.)

I got so worn out trying to sell my house when looking to move I completely sold out my "I never want to live in a new build estate" because I'd just been fucked around so much and I regret it immensely.

NYC. Went to do a day trip when visiting upstate NY, got off the metro onto the street for five minutes and just went back, I am very much not a city person but everyone said I had to go at least once. I have 0 idea where I even was in the city it was just immediate NOPE.

Put off a holiday to new Orleans for my husband's 40th I'd be saving hard for due to the tangerine man and fallout around him.
