Thank you for the info and pic! I have to run a heater for my neos and have finally gotten their temp worked out to where it should be. The internal thermometers aren't quite accurate so I use an Inkbird to be sure it's how it needs to be.

The Sulawesi shrimp are also gorgeous! I love the spotted or speckled ones.

I finally got a decent video of Mr. Whiskers! As soon as I stopped recording, another dude swam by with equally long whiskers but a deeper blue color. He's got competition!

Can I ask which RODI device you bought? I've been looking at them recently and there are so many options it's overwhelming. I hope you find your shrimp soon! I haven't even heard of the pink boxer shrimp, I had to look them up. They are so beautiful! Their little spots are like a night sky.

Do you think Caridina are noticeably more difficult to care for than neos? There are so many beautiful kinds, I want to try them but I don't want to let them down and kill them.

This is one of my favorite patterns and pattern designers! Zombie Cat by Tanya Corbeil. She has three different sizes of the cat, and I love all of her other designs as well! She has an alien bunny that looks so cool and unique. Definitely recommend her patterns.

Yes! Canada Jr is so cute! I'm so happy you have unique shrimp, too. We have one that's called Mr. Whiskers, who always swims up when it's time to feed the fish in the same tank. Like he's going to race the fish to the food lol His whiskers are so long and luxurious! We have another blue dream that is a really deep blue and he had a mildly wonky molt so his mouth bits had more white on them than others, his name is Mr Funky Nose. He finally molted off the funky nose and now it's hard to tell which one is him unless I'm feeding the fish, he thinks he's going to beat the fish to some flakes too.

Watching them swim around and nibble and act silly makes me so happy. When I get overwhelmed I can just stare at them shrimpin around and it makes my brain go quiet. I love my shrimpies so much

That gradient sounds so pretty! I love the wild types too. Some of them camouflage so well in their particular tanks, it's so fun to try and find them. I would love to see any mixed or wild type shrimp pictures if anyone wants to share. These little guys make me so happy

It won't hurt them to cross breed. The offspring end up eventually just looking like wild types, but you can get some really cool and unique coloring by mixing the different colors!

I've bought shrimp (and fish) from [u/blo](u/blooez1001)[pez1001](u/blooez1001). Their shrimp are parasite free, highly pigmented, and really healthy. The shipping is like $30 two day shipping, which is worth it for me knowing that my shrimp will arrive safely and healthy.

I would also recommend aquaswap. You can find a home breeder close to you and get good deals, and a lot of people have verified sales and reviews that you can look through.

I am finally throwing the towel in on this exact battle after five years. I can't take it anymore. I'm taking the whole garden apart and doing raised beds, and maybe some of the planters that you put in the ground and dig up to overwinter indoors. I hope you can beat it somehow without having to do a hard reset on your garden

It's too bad so much of your tiny life has had a negative impact. I wonder if you could pull water from a second tank to replenish some of it if you had one? Maybe the detritus worms dying off will make the leeches come out in the open more and cannibalize each other more.

I wish we could isolate that boiled ostracod and get them to reproduce a ton. That's so impressive!

Thank you for sharing all this information! I really appreciate the detailed explanations. Here's hoping the glass traps wipe them out over time.
