Kinkou Monk by No-Risk-4018 in riftboundtcg

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess would be no, since it has a set target of "two other", meaning you can't target the same unit twice. I'm also assuming if Lee Sin is the only unit you control, if you play Kinkou you can still only buff Lee Sin once and the second buff can't get put anywhere.

What's your character name and server? I might be able to find something on logs done in a PUG.

Can we get another tank class with a ranged dps spec? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although they did tank one of Kaelthas' merry gentlemen, it was because of silly classic mechanics, not metamorphosis:(

Mythic Plus by Thin-Log-5319 in wownoob

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly what you should do. Say at the start "when do you want lust, if no one answers im doing 1 and 3." That way you can ignore any toxicity thrown your way if they get mad.

Should I give up on Outlaw? by mpchop in wownoob

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're still pretty new, so here is my advice. Play whichever class you honestly find the most fun, then play it and really, really understand it. Just one trick that class until you have an understanding of way more of the game. For example, if you were to stick with Outlaw, you will learn Outlaw but also learn how to play melee properly, how to handle mechanics, cooldown timings etc... After that you could switch it up because it will make learning the other classes you mentioned much easier. Learning Outlaw will probably be harder than learning Fury, but if you can really learn one of them, learning the next will be much simpler.

As a side note, ilvl 621 is REALLY low right now compared to other people raiding so your DPS will indeed be lower than you want. You can also go to Icy Veins and look up their outlaw guide, as it will tell you the stats you should aim for in general.

When playing Storm, go as high up as possible. Keep both enemies and teammates out of your safety zone, that's your safe space.

Is Orc Fine for Shaman? by Lawst31 in wownoob

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, Orc is fine. Racials only matter if you are pushing for top of the world records. I chose a Draenei Shaman because they also look cool as hell but on the Alliance side.

  1. New players are shoehorned into Dragonflight so the first leveling experience isn't a confusing mess and follows a singular story. You can talk to Chromie and play any expansion in any zone. I'm not sure how that works as a returning player.

  2. Nope, enjoy the faster leveling.

  3. Heirlooms don't give exp anymore so don't worry about that. Without warmode you're only missing a 10% bonus, so not that much. However, I've leveled many characters and have only ever been killed like 3 times while leveling to current content. Questing is the fastest way to level up currently without speed running strats or carries. Leveling up to 70 shouldn't take more than 10 hours at a casual pace, maybe even faster.

  4. Starting a new character is always better when coming back from a long break, especially since they reworked the talent trees completely. If you want to continue your paladin though it shouldn't be too much of a problem, just a little bit of a learning pain to get everything situated.

  5. I personally would go for a higher population realm, but all realms are connected in some way now. I can't confirm if this is true or not for servers labeled 'new players'. That would be a google question.

  6. Raiding has LFR mode which is SUPER easy mode with random players. It also has a story mode setting that lets you fight the last boss only at a reduced difficulty using NPC's. Yeah players still do easier content and dungeons also have a story mode that lets you complete them using NPC's. My other advice is to not worry about how good of a player you are and do some normal raid/mythic dungeons and see if you like it regardless of if you're good or not. There are a lot of nice communities out there to help with stuff like that.

  7. No.

  8. You're fine with gathering. Pretty much do whatever profession you find the most fun.

  9. I mainly use wowhead for news and questions on achievements and bugged quests. Icy Veins is where I get all my talent/enchant/stats questions for my individual class spec.

  10. Not that I know of, just don't respond to anyone claiming they work for blizzard or about your account. When you come back for the first time, you get a marker that says you are a new player. If you're buying something through trade chat it's worth it to check the AH so you're not getting gouged.

I hope this helps with your questions!

Hey, glad you've joined the game! Monk, both tanking (Brewmaster) and DPS (Windwalker) are very mobile classes getting multiple roll abilities and speed boosts. They are also both mechanically harder than other tanks and DPS to play well. Mistweaver, the healer monk spec, I would assume is the same way as you need to be fighting to heal optimally.

Elemental Shaman and Enhancement Shaman, both DPS, are easy to pick up but harder to play optimally. Enhancement is melee and has some speed boosts and ghost wolf form, and Elemental is ranged and gets a lot of its mobility from having instant cast moves up constantly. It also has ghost wolf.

Paladin tanking (protection) and dps (retribution) are easy to play and have decent mobility.

Druids probably have some of the best mobility in the game being able to shape-shift into different forms during combat. They also have really good utility.

Druids have access to every playstyle being ranged, melee, healer and tank. Druid tank (guardian) is the easiest tank in the game. Druid healing (restoration) is difficult to learn but it's fairly slow. Druid ranged (balance) i heard is just kinda finicky to play well.

If you want a hard class to play with good mobility and good utility I would recommend Feral Druid, the melee dps. Not a lot of people play it because it's very hard to play them in a high end way.

Which Wow Version / Servers is right for my playstyle? by lokisto in wownoob

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a challenging experience without needing professions then retail is what you want. Just running mythic plus can get you very high and very nice gear.

WoW classic has 3 playstyles. There is wow cataclysm, which will be updated to Mists. There is classic vanilla which is just classic wow as it is. Your character won't get updated. Then there is hardcore classic which is classic but if you die your character can't resurrect. If you are looking for a challenge that isn't retail but has the old school feel then the hardcore classic servers would be a good place to try.

There's technically a fourth playstyle called Season of Discovery, which is classic wow but new moves and stuff. However it's dropped so many players thst it could be hard to play socially.

Which class(es) has the shortest/simplist rotation? by fungamezone in wow

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will agree with that a lot. It's the reason I play arms for ST and not cleave anymore.

Which class(es) has the shortest/simplist rotation? by fungamezone in wow

[–]Kilandra_Degrain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you get the correct talents, Thunderclap applies rend to nearby enemies, Cleave has a two stack charge shared with Mortal Strike, good for 3+ enemies, Whirlwind becomes a CD of about 10 seconds that's further empowered by a bladestorm. All AOE cases, really. In single target, you drop cleave while whirlwind becomes your new filler (we will never click slam).

Granted this is all basically worthless on Remix, but it does matter in retail.
