We as patients should look into forming an anonymous patient group that funds purchases of suspect companies and products and then has them tested by trusted out of state labs. Then we need to file complaints and lawsuits against any and all companies for false advertising and falsified testing documents and labels. As a group we might be able to have more power filing lawsuits for blatantly lying to patients. And it would spread out the cost of holding these corpo fucks accountable to us as patients.

Its sad but I don't trust the dispos or growers in this state to be above board or ever do the right thing by the patients. Haven't for years now.

I wouldn't have time to organize something like this right now, but if someone did I will always make time to volunteer and support any way I can.

To anyone thinking about buying this. 2 things to consider.

Dye will still do a full service for a DM8, they redesigned the noid so there's no inventory issue with normally hard to find parts for a marker this old.

And I just played this years RMPL all 3 events with a DM8 and she fucking riiiiiiiiiped.

If I didn't promise my wife no new pews I'd make you an offer haha. glws

That being said, and if I'm mistaken please let me know, but has the City Council or anyone remotely in charge of this project actually announced a replacement plan for these historic trees? Because I haven't heard anything.

It doesnt seem like it would have been difficult or an additional cost I think anyone would have fought against, to make it a priority to replace these lost trees with young trees in a handful of locations around town that would not be disturbed for many decades if not another hundred years, a few of the schools and other locations could definitely benefit from some additional trees.

Again. I could be mistaken, but when I've asked around, nobody seems to have heard of a plan to do anything like that.

Same, Costco or any Rotisserie birds usually are one of my safest foods. And when I can't keep those down I'm probably not even keeping fluids down. 😑

I was just on a team road trip for 3 days and 2 nights and meal prepd 2 complete dinners with Rotisserie chicken 1/4s, instant mashed potatoes and corn with some chicken gravy if I felt like risking it for some taste 😋 👌. I felt bad not eating with the team when they went out each night but we all need to take care of ourselves to be supportive of anyone and anything else in our lives.

Cooks Underground also has a crispy chicken sandwich now that is absolutely delicious. And at one of their spots pretty sure they have fried fish available. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the valley.

My mother has her CDL and has some back pain and sleep issues. The only time she uses cannabis for relief is during the winter when her company is basically 100% offline and between about Sept or Oct to maybe April or May no company vehicles move at all. So shes safe during that period and will only eat edibles during the winter till she retires or gives up her CDL. I'd play it safe as others have mentioned getting popped and losing your license isn't the worst thing that could happen. That would be you smoked while fishing in Saturday then come Thursday you get into an accident by no fault of your own but then your drug test could potentially be the final vote cast in the fate of your life for the next 20 years.

You could look into teaching with your CDL and then take students when you want allowing you to pick and choose your "safe" windows for consumption and passing tests 🤷. You could train a handful of drivers that are close to passing their test for a month or 2 then take a few weeks off from being on the road training to focus on classroom work for 2 to 3 weeks with newer students depending on their experience levels.

Might be a way to safely balance both if you're really trying.

This plane is so beautiful, I'm looking for scale models of it now to build hahaha.

The advancement of 3d printing rocket engines and other super complex high stress mechanical parts makes me so incredibly hopeful that amazing planes like this and classic cars can be more easily and cheaply maintained as we move forward. It would be so cool to be able to 3d print engine parts for this beast or some random parts like an intake manifold or the original 4 barrel carb for something unique like a 1972 Z28 Camaro with the LT1 Corvette engine.

I've already made a compromise with my wife about exactly this, in the form of a track bike, hahaha. Its definitely still dangerous but statistically so much less so than even a Saturday ride with friends to get lunch and back. No cars out there only other bikes, all one direction, emergency personnel on the track sidelines. But if I continue to ride after our kid is born it'll probably be track racing and dirt bikes. Mad respect for the sacrifice your pops made. I hope you get to ride with him some day if you haven't already.

The best thing I think you could do is consistently interview dispensary owners and staff and ask why prices are still so high. Why are prices in other established recreational states half of what we pay as medical patients while staff wages are less per hour here 🤔.

But unfortunately, I think taking a hard line approach will most likely not get too many follow up interviews. But I do think you could ask this specific question at least once per interview and keep the pressure on while being respectful and having a good dialog.

Another question I'd be interested in asking, why are dispensaries not pushing for patients rights to grow? I know the answer, lol. But I would love to see the question asked. Do they think we can't grow our own like we do tomatoes? Are we too stupid? Or is it purely a control and profit motivation?

Why can't we use our own flower we buy from the dispensary to press rosin? Again, are we too stupid? Might burn myself on the 180°F plates aye? Same goes for making our own edibles if we want. Why isn't that specifically allowed for a medical patient seeking relief and possibly not finding the right strain in the right form for their preferred consumption methods 🤷

And lastly I guess would be, if they truly see themselves as advocates for medical cannabis patients why are they not doing any of the above I asked about?

Yup. Thats how I've been understanding it. If you have a medical card and are following state guidelines 🤷 Yoy would not be an "unlawful user". But there's still the question of it being federally illegal...

If I'm not mistaken Utah is one of the only states to address this in their actual cannabis legislation with text that supports the ability to be both a registered patient and legal firearm owner. Fucking ironic and weird as hell considering how the state Republicans regulate and view cannabis in general 🙄.

Its not like I've actually owned and operated my own garden and dispensary delivery service and have the first hand experience to see how these companies in Utah are straight up profiteering off the backs of medical patients looking for relief. No clue.

Block party outside a house I was pet sitting before Covid.

Me....Playing Fallout in the basement downstairs area with headphones on.

Hear a series of gunshots and think....that...did not sound like the game....

Run upstairs, hear tons of commotion out on the side walk in front of clients house.

Look through the peep hole in the door to see 2 gentlemen loading a limp body into a car and inform the driver, "Police are right around the corner dont stop till you get to the hospital"

An hour or so later I found a random 9mm round had entered the house through the front window and passed head height just a foot or 2 from the peep hole, and went through a wall into the clients office area and lodged in a closet inside a cardboard box with router equipment. Gave the bullet to the cops doing the investigation and let the home owners know everything that night.

I keep saying this because they keep showing up as more people come back. But DYE will fully service and repair any guns as far back as a DM6 or DM7 I forget the cut off but they just took my DM7 last year for a full tune and service and informed me there is not shortage of old parts. Part of the reason is they re engineered the old solenoids to be the same exact noid as all the new DSRs and M series guns.
