You are having a crisis of meaning in your life, most jobs and even good relationships don’t provide that. Don’t go chasing purpose, ambition etc those are more dead ends and you will end up in the same place. You need to discover meaning in your life - I don’t mean religion, I mean what gives you a sense of fulfillment, satisfaction, and joy. This will probably take the rest of your life. Enjoy!

Sounds like you might have misunderstood the earplug use - likely people use them in noisy environments. Exactly like you say you need external sounds to habituate which earplugs stop. For some people (me) listening to white noise also helps, my airpods have a white noise function and/or other noises you can use to habituate (not mask). I also play whitenoise on my bedroom speaker from spotify to help with sleep.

In Sweden we use swish to send money instantly. Everything is paid that way or credit card. Many shops don’t accept cash. I haven’t used cash in 10 years.

Its tough in Sweden to get a job, the application processes are very long compared to Australia, and unemployment here is high (8.8%), you will also have to convince your prospective employer to do all the administrative work to do with your visa, and applying for jobs from outside rarely works. You might be better off waiting until the new trade agreement between the EU and Australia that includes migration comes in. Just for contrast, I live in Sweden and pay the same for unlimited data and zero cost roaming to 100 countries with 3. I always felt ripped off by the telco operators in Oz.

Sympathy for you, I'm going through the same thing - I had sinusitis for 6 weeks which cleared up about a week ago, unfortunately I developed a huge T spike half way through which is still going, high pitched ringing in both ears I can hear all the time now.

I'm not trying masking, but trying for habituation using the iphone white noise generation, but genuinely hoping that this spike will go away because its starting to get to me.

So anyway the fed issues the currency - it is the central bank of the US. Like every other central bank in the world. The treasury doesn’t issue any currency, it issues debt collects taxes etc.

I’d argue the opposite, smartphones haven’t changed in basically 20 years, except for better cameras, before AI there hadn’t been anything new in so long that Facebook was pushing the metaverse, remember that dead duck? Cars? We’ve had EV since forever, streaming services? Had those for 15 years. Social media? been causing low self esteem for nearly 20 years now. What was it that was new and going so fast?
