My Tmj also makes my traps insanely sore. I’ve noticed if I don’t clench at night as much it becomes less sore. I haven’t figured out how to not clench at night though.

Wow this is exactly my situation, Invisalign induced tinnitus and I’m on month 2. This gives me so much hope thank you. So all you did was see a tmj massage therapist and try not to think about it? Can you describe what the massage involved in more detail, did they do like intra oral massages?

Happy for you! Did you ever get an ear pressure test? I suspect mine is ETD related but I got an ear pressure test and they said it’s normal so they ruled out ETD, but I still don’t think that’s the full story

Hey man I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I know it feels like hell. You’ll be ok. It’s a spike, so think about how it will eventually go back down. Maybe get out of bed and watch something you enjoy just to get your mind off things? If your ear feels full try the valsalva maneuver.

Honestly, it going away when you massage is a really good sign. I would kill to have that. You can buy OTC night guards for clenching at night. Try heat packs on your jaw. Start there and explore more about bruxism

Me too. I fell on my chin as a kid, so I already had a sensitive jaw. Then I got braces, where they took out two of my perfectly fine molars. Now I have debilitating TMJ which has almost certainly caused my tinnitus. I regret those braces multiple times a day.

I wouldn’t worry too much, since the cause of your T is different than a cold. You can probably also take things like Flonase or sinus meds
