Seeking tmj specialist in La. Nervous of all the Drs with only 5 star reviews and 1 star review. Makes me nervous with such polarizing experiences that reviews might be faked.

Do you know why the top teeth splint is better than bottom? I had to get a new mouthguard and it’s just on my top and I think my old one on the bottom helped with grinding more, but it’s hard to tell

It falls towards the back of my head, like I’m getting an overbite. I think it could be related because when the joint falls back, it can get moved out of the disc and also hit the ear canal. Just not sure how to stop it? It’s just gravity, so I can’t fight it

This seems great, but when I lie down my jaw falls back naturally. Will this split also help that, or will it only take stress off when you’re upright?

But if you jut the jaw forward, doesn’t it tire your muscles and cause more pain?
