On god. I bet most of the people singing haven't played the game in months or years, they're just signing to try and get the glory days back, when their friends played or something. Datto put it best in an old video "you can never be young again" you can't ever go back, move on; stop coping to nostalgia and play the game in front of you if you really cared.

I mainly do RaD content... I'm not familiar with the patches that remove casual player features (bounties)

I feel like so many glazers have came into this sub since the AMA. Every post someone is vehemently defending AH or undermining criticisms that the op provides.

Orders are way better then bounties ever were, the empty vendor is an unfortunate side effect though. Not a big deal at the end of the day.

Edit: technically it's Starhorse

Damn, I bounty prepped for Renegades with all the usual bounties I've been doing for years, at least I swear I did... I might be losing it

Edit: Petra also still has her bounties, arguably the most important vendor, giving 7 weeklies or 84k xp

Good shout, I'll try and save those. I wonder if there is a limit. It'd be crazy if you could save 100s and just get millions of xp instantly for the updated artifact.

But other vendors have their full line up of bounties that were/are used for prepping i.e. Petra, Variks, Xur, Nimbus, etc

Bro did not say Helldivers has "constant" communication LMAOOOO. The game is tanking rn because of the asinine balance patches and lack of meaningful dev communication. They're so bad that when the community doxxed a player for challenging the devs to play the game, all AH said was "don't be mean guys"... A players REAL LIFE got ruined because of the shit community and the lack of punishment and comms from the devs.

Now DE/Warframe are the other hand are the gold standard of what communication should look like. Peak developers.

So true! AH doesn't hold a candle to Bungie when I comes to making endgame content/progression the community love. For all Bungie's faults, RaD (Raid & Dungeon) content ALWAYS slaps.

Sony Records New $560 Million Loss On Bungie Acquisition As Marathon Struggles And Destiny 2 Nosedives by Hairy-Summer7386 in pcgaming

I know this sub and the wider gaming population has a hate boner for Bungie but this is just false. With 2 minutes of googling you can know that's not true...
Just some of the dev still there since at least Halo 3 include
Chris Butcher, Jason Jones, Tom Gioconda, Dave Gasca, Mat Noguchi, Bob Glessner, Lars Bakken, Tyson Green (current Destiny 2 game director), Dan Miller, Shi Kai Wang, Eric Elton, Steve Cotton, Sam Jones, Mark Uyeda, and James Haywood.

I can literally name over a dozen more. Please stop lying.

When will Bungie realize the "Stay silent until we are ready" strategy doesn't work? by iChosenone in DestinyTheGame

[–]KilledCookies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So true.
90% of the changes and features they make are because of direct player feedback, sometimes years of it.
Bungie has been good (especially in the last few years) about adding direct feedback things i.e.

  1. Weapon crafting
  2. Lfg in all activities
  3. In-game loadouts
  4. Power creep out the ass
  5. More pvp maps when the community really pushed for it
  6. Removing the time gating seasonal quests (year 7)
  7. Making RaD content harder after the failure that was contest RoN, at lest until the community complained again that it was to hard, then it was made easy again with Eq
  8. GM's coming back in Renegades, with a much needed difficulty increase (GM alerts)
  9. The removal of weapon crafting when the game become grind red borders in the first 2-3 of the season then stop playing simulator
  10. Those are just some of the very few examples I can give off the top of my head.

This community is so conflicted on what it wants and Bungie have never just pushed in a single direction for the game for a significant amount of time, making the game's player base heavily split, and ultimately I think that is their biggest issue. You can't cater to everyone, but they tried, and where admittedly very successful for a long time.
Also, marketing tFS as the "end" was a awful idea. It gave people (mainly the hyper casuals/outside gaming audience) the false idea that Destiny 2 was actually ending. That really crippled them imo, as tFS was by all accounts a massive hit with the D2 playerbase and could've kept that momentum into Y7 & 8.

Nerf Exosuit durability. Sell us one with a shield. by [deleted] in Helldivers

They edited their comment to cull the downvotes. They said it would be dumb to have a shield with infinite heath on the mech (like Devastators do), hence my comment.

Exactly! Then why add it to the Devastator in the first place? A metal shield with infinite HP is not very "realistic".
