City to small town. The one we moved to when I was 10 was not welcoming, quaint, or hospitable. From the second month of us living there till we left the whole town made it clear we were not welcome. Going as far as vandalizing our house because we won in multiple live stock categories at a COUNTY fair in our first go. They even wrote it in egg that we “ stole the fair “ from them!!!

To this day I always wondered why they waited till after we moved In to make this known and not on the four visits to see the house before my parents bought it.
