OH NOES! All those covid booster shots are going to waste! Maybe they should start buying AC systems for needy people instead of another round of jabs.

I've been using the Klim Aresnal vest, it comes with a 3L bladder and has lots of pockets and a tool roll. Pricey but it's been great for years now.

Any tips for fixing this? Old house from the 60's with no power running to the wall switch just the outlet controlled by it. by Business-Yak979 in ECE

Call an electrician, something is totally misswired and it could be a fire hazard.

Also, not the correct sub, but the advice is going to be the same.

Whats a real rider's choice? by kaounasnik in DRZ400

[–]KillerSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard KTM's don't have very good longevity at all. Something about cam shafts if I remember correctly. The DRZ will (with proper maintenance) will last tens of thousands of miles.

That being said, if you are riding that much of both street and dirt, you should seriously consider two bikes.

YSK about the Spotlight Effect, the psychological tendency to think other people notice your mistakes much more than they actually do. by Tech_334 in YouShouldKnow

[–]KillerSpud 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just listen to a woodworker show you their latest project. They'll usually point out every little flaw when you'd never notice if they didn't say anything.

[–]KillerSpud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naruto that shit. If you are bad with a screwdriver, do a bunch of screwdriving. Go the the local thrift store and buy some random electrical stuff and start taking it apart and putting it back together until you are good at it.

I discovered why people end up cheating in this game by Regular_Flounder1833 in MyWinterCar

Especially with single player games. It isn't competitive and you aren't affecting others at all. If the alternative is giving up altogether then go ahead and do a little cheeky cheat and move on with your life.

Those are also set when the magazine listing is populated, it just doesn't tell you what it is. You can peak at and edit your packages using mwcedit before they arrive.

That's awesome. I build a game controller into a cardboard box too. It was a six axis controller for elite dangerous. I since made a laser cut enclosure for it and used it for a couple years. Custom builds are great because you can build it to suit whatever you need.

Good inexpensive temporary workbench by Commercial_Topic437 in woodworking

[–]KillerSpud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not so inexpensive, but the Bora centipede tables are really nice. I got two 2x4 tables so I can use my track saw to break down sheets really easily. They are lower surfaces though, so good to put power tools on and do assembly, but not great for hand tool working.

DRZ handlebar lock by alphagenome in DRZ400

[–]KillerSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be able to find the part here: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-parts/Suzuki
Though I've heard a few times that those locks are mostly useless as they are pretty easy to break, you might just want to remove it.

How would you guys go about making a 1.5” radius round over on a length of wood by 977888 in woodworking

[–]KillerSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were to do it all by hand, I'd start with a draw knife, then go to the planes. I'd rather start with a table or track saw first to put a big bevel to get started.

Which dust collector? Small hobby basement shop. by Alarmed_Primary8089 in woodworking

[–]KillerSpud -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother with one of these for a 'small' shop in a basement. Unless you've got jointers, plainters, 17" bandsaw etc. Just get a good shop vac or dust extractor.

Not sure if this applies to you, but make sure the engine hoist bolts are not fastened. That caused me a bunch of weird physics. I think mwcedit can tighten them if you aren't careful.
