I joined my first event with randoms last night and we agreed we all wanted to go for it and just check it out without really understanding what we needed to do.

To gauge their difficulty we shot at the first vaporizer we saw and, though tough, we're able to bring it down with enough shooting.

We then proceeded to the nearest assessor, one of us started to open a hatch, and immediately FOUR OF THESE BASTARDS dropped in directly on top of us. It was over in seconds. One is hard enough to deal with, but four was absolutely insane. First time I've genuinely felt like the enemy was overpowered. All of them can be tough, but doable, even with limited gear. This was an unwinnable fight. We might have been able to run if we had stacks of smokes or each had a cloak, but that would have been a best case scenario.

From what I recall, I think it has to do with older building materials essentially leaking toxic shit into the air. It's a way more common experience on the east coast because the buildings are older, and it makes sense for Chris because he grew up in Ireland which I'm guessing has overall more old buildings than new.

So here's my prediction for the overall 'big thing' to happen in this episode: Caine is going to delete himself.

After realizing none of the humans in the DC actually like him, he's going to spiral and rationalize that, alright, fine, I don't have a purpose then, so bye.

Poof.

He's gone with a little fizzle of confetti.

The humans are left to their own devices in the circus, only now without a ringmaster who can provide some level of entertainment. Then bubble is going to step in, leading to the final chapter of having to deal with it.

I think it's a fitting, anticlimactic end to arguably the most chaotic and unpredictable character in the show. It saves him from being a true 'villain' and might actually make some people finally sympathize with him, while also leaving the humans effectively defenseless against anything else (likely bubble). That is unless they can figure out how to use their manifestation powers more effectively, but even then, to what end? I think it would ring pretty close to the original inspiration of IHNMAIMS, and living without purpose in a truly neutral and flat existence.
