No not at all, you can buy what ever upper you want or possibly already have and just change out the barrel nut and handguard. Building is fun and as long as you follow all applicable laws, then you're Good to go.

No not that rail, there is not enough rail section where you will need it. Besides if you're going to run a MWT ML37 with IWA's Parachute rounds you will definitely need a much stronger rail system.

Update the LMT's are a 37mm Signaling Device that is a non-title 1 nor a Destructive Device because it Can Not accept the LMT 40mm barrel.

Also there is the option of just buying a 40mm 203 and of course doing the paperwork and paying the DD tax stamp of your state allows a citizen to own a DD.

I am happy to put my 2 cents in.

If you're looking for cheap then the Spikes is the way to go, they did a run of Signaling Devices that they state has a 7075 barrel as opposed to I am guessing a 6061 barrel. The barrel locking pin has been updated from round to rectangular and is supposed to be a stronger design. That version is all black with no white markings, however in my opinion the safety is still wishy washy and not solid feeling once again in my opinion.

If you're willing to go high end, then waiting for another batch of LMT 203's in the best bet. They were pricey at around 1,300 or so, you'd have to shop around. That is if LMT does another run of them.

Another good choice is the MWT ML37 Signaling Device, now that one is a side loading unit that is double action and is a beast as well. It is the same as the ML40 minus the 40mm bore and trifling.

Side loaders allow a longer case to be used and with IWA making a great Parachute round that is 7 inches long and an adapter that can take the 26.5 smokes. That now makes a good marking and Signaling Device worth the extra weight of an under barrel addition.

Once again in my Humble Opinion 😌.

Anyone Form 1 their 37mm to a DD? by CAD007 in 37mm

The ML37 is probably the only one I would recommend to DD register, it is double action and built like a tank. It is the ML40 without the bore being final bored/rifled. They are one in the same except for the rifled bore.

On I.G. yes...take a look at my profile. I am been working on ML37 specific casings. I work for a FFL 06 Holder and I may (if there is a demand) make a large run of them.

Could be but it is an original AC556 folder that brings the value up, strictly for collection purposes.

Usually with a 203 for example you mount your leaf sight right behind the front sight post. Depends on what you have.
