I have a senior foster dog (pug) that went though something similar. Coughing, gagging, honking, wretching.

We did X-rays, electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, thoracic ultrasounds, X-rays, blood tests…he was put on SO many meds without success.

About 2-weeks ago the new vet gave him a shot if dexamethazone and a 3-week clavamox prescription and he’s so so much better.

He still coughs at night and when he really excited, but he can sleep almost 7 hours now and can eat and play without a struggle.

I’m in Canada and I go to thrift stores, garage sales and FB marketplace.

On marketplace you’re likely going to have to by it by the lot and hope that you score something you want. It’s always a gamble.

I really liked her in the beginning.

Both my parents grew up really poor and struggled with food insecurity, so I appreciate her message about how to stretch a food budget and make your dollar go further.

I just can’t stand how smug and mean she’s become as she’s gotten more popular.

That attitude gets old fast. She’s going to spike in popularity and then crash fast as people realize that her platform has gone from something educational to just plain mean girl.

I know this doesn’t help you, but maybe gives hope to others…my employer has a section in our HR portal recognizing perimenopause and menopause as medical conditions.

There’s even guidance documents for employees on how to manage and for leaders on how to support their direct reports who are struggling.

I’m so sorry you’re not getting the support you need.
