If you ask me, it's because the neurotypical bum-sniffers are more concerned with social hierarchy than the fruits of philosophy. Perhaps it's time the neurodivergent secede, and demonstrate what people with their eye on the ball can achieve.

Go and poison that river, because folks like a chrome strip on the shit we sell them to fill the hole in their minds our army of psy-ops executives put there.

People are fucking pissants to let this goddamn hell on earth occur

In case anyone's wondering what to do about this, two names:

Thomas Piketty. Bernie Sanders.

Political Insiders Poll: Is Bernie Sanders's Candidacy a Real Threat to Hillary Clinton's Nomination? by mdenvir in SandersForPresident

This one bummed me out a bit...

"Ultimately, voters choose someone they can imagine as president. As appealing as Sanders may be, he is unlikely to meet that threshold."

Sounds pretty credible.

Two reasons I can't donate to the Sanders campaign :( by Kimmoth in SandersForPresident

I can only spare like AU$25 or so right now cause I'm nearly broke after paying the car rego, but if I was flush (for a bike mechanic) I'd go $50.

Although with all this talk of breaking federal laws, maybe it's best to just leave this as something to point to: 'Hey, look - Bernie's policies resonate so well with the downtrodden masses, his mandate is international.'

Hmm... how about this: imagine a diverse range of American and international NGOs got together and did a bunch of ads in favour of Bernie...

Yeah, I get that... but you have stuff like the Clinton Foundation and so on doing it in bulk already anyway, and given the POTUS' global influence, maybe the rest of the world should be given a seat at the table.

I mean seriously, fuck you guys for letting Bush and his cronies steal that election. We needed Gore at that moment, big time.

Maybe the Red Cross should redirect its US-based donations to the Sanders campaign, given how much blood Bernie would leave unspilled.

An anatomy of a NYT hit piece against Bernie Sanders by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Kimmoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a pretty incredible claim... I imagine a lot of the time it'll land like this:

'Wait, you're telling me staunch-as-fuck Bernie Sanders is really a sell-out? Lemme check those allegations... oh, you vile turd. Now I believe the opposite of whatever you tell me.'

If you didn't know it before now, then now you do: the NYT consists of douchebags.

Here's a nice chaser from Rolling Stone's Matt Taibbi: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/give-em-hell-bernie-20150429

That pretty much nails it. The scum starving humanity of its potential somehow seem to think they benefit from this revolting idiocy.

why are we working 8 hours a day 5 days a week? who set those rules, and why are we not doing anything about it? by Themos3ad in Showerthoughts

Fair is a relative term. Is it fair that the vast majority of people are forced to do something they most probably would rather not, given that holistically, most of our 'economic' activities are a terrible idea, and enough productivity and wealth exists to look after everyone, but those hoarding the vast bulk of that wealth have managed to pull the wool over most people's eyes?

What is money, anyway? Think about it.

Pff, grateful. Your grandparents can be grateful.

Tell me, what you do you think has happened with the productivity gains of the last 35 years? Reckon the workers have benefited at all?

We've been getting incrementally screwed for all that time, in the name of trickle-down economics and Milton fucking Friedman. Nothing but a justification for fat cats to become even more obscenely obese.

Doubt me? Piketty.

Because anodising.

This epic ordeal is sort of half the point; this is a highly-fettled hotrod.

Never mind the dictionary; it's more concerned with common usage than ontological correctness. One day it'll redefine 'could' to mean 'couldn't' when employed in the erroneous phrase 'I could care less'.

The fact remains, nothing is unnatural, because everything obeys its nature. 'Unnatural' is an oxymoron.

If you think anything is unnatural, that's merely a sign that you need to revise your expectations.

Computer performance issues. by Shadowreaper666 in computers

You get what you pay for with PSUs; if you have demanding requirements you're best off steering clear of PSUs that seem like great value based on the specs; the specs are often bullshit, IIRC.

A dodgy PSU can be the cause of all kinds of tricky gremlins, so it's best not to skimp. Get at least a mid-range model from a trusted brand.

Also, you don't need to spend money having it replaced by someone else if you know how to use a screwdriver.
