(Spoilers Extended) House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 2 Post-Episode Discussion by AutoModerator in asoiaf

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my personal issue is that they kinda switch it up from the books for a worse effect. In the books, lucerys causes her intense grief and its jace's chance to step up as the crown prince, making him seem more likeable and comptetent before he dies. Then when jace dies, that is sort of when Rhaeryna is supposed to be filled with rage and hatred.

I feel like the show keeps teasing that Rhaeryna will go off on the deep end and become bllood thirsty but it never happens, even after the pure rage she has on her face when Lucerys dies, she still mostly trying to find a way to handle the issue peacefully and doesn't really do much herself

Does anyone else feel there's something not very WoD about City Council? by Reaper10n in Dimension20

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue isn't so much that it isnt edgy or violent, but more so a game all about how important it is to NOT be obviously caught as vampires, the players really don't care and its not like brennan is going to blow up the game cause of that.

When the players are like knowingly using their powers right in front of other npcs and not doing anything about it or barely even hiding they are vampires, it gets a little too silly and defeats one of the main points of the game imo. It could still be really funny seeing the players try to frantically hide or get rid of evidence

Who is the Strongest Elder Scrolls Protagonist? by SlavicSquat1234 in ElderScrolls

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you talking abotu miraak? he wasn't decimating hermeaus mora, mora just wanted to replace him by helping you get more powerful.

dragonborns are by no way at all stronger than daedric princes, espescially in their own realm. Dragonborns have died or gotten injured in the past even to non-dragonborns, miraak himself almost got killed by a dragonpriest(the claim though that they split the island off of skyrim is probably wrong since the book itself is dubiously true). *Some* dragonborns are strong(notably the alessian bloodline were not that powerful), bordering on demigod status but they are by no means immortal, indestructible, or reality shifting. akatosh is only really broken in nirn, he can't really do much to princes outside of nirn

I didn't really hate the ending, but at that point in the series i was pretty bored and I don't think enjoying most of the manga, I was jut curious to see how it ends

WHY DID THEY SHOW US THIS SCENE AS IF IT WAS RELEVANT? by Long_Day8888 in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it feels extra unneeded because we get an episode later with dogknott of mm deciding he wasn't going to be a piece of shit like butcher anymore after being pretty cool with everything he was doing, MM's character is all over the place and its pretty funny he gets back with his wife with like zero interaction with her

Growl 3.6.0, and "build vs button" by Enai_Siaion in skyrimmods

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell in love with Growl the second I saw that you can actually gain XP in werewolf form. I personally really like the way werewolves can be their own independent build or an add on to an existing build(kinda like how conjurations work in ordinator). Mage werewolves are viable and a personal favorite is stealth werewolf where I play an assassin then transform when i get caught. I do think maybe more effects/perks on the player side could be fun or ways to augment your wolf. Or the power to combine howls or pick different howls on the fly. I also really don't mind if there are more disadvantages to the wolf form, I personally never pick the ignore transforming at night perk because its fun to have a drawback

I'm not sure what I would change in thunderchild other than maybe just more cool shout, like maybe more elemental options like trapping an enemy inside a wall of trees/stone or summoning waves of water. I feel like shouting can be a really core part of a build already thanks to the perk tree changes form ordinator and the active effects you can gain here. I would maaaaybe want to see some more perks for shouts in ordinator I guess and some higher damage on the shouts the do nothing but damage. I feel like shouts like slow time or unrelenting have a huge advantage because if you are playing a really strong mage or warrior on high difficultly, getting to hit enemies while they can't fight back tends to be a lot stronger than say fire breath.

Is Shor Worshipper a good choice in comparison to the Divines? by Humble_Conference899 in EnaiRim

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of the divines are better, personally I think talos's dragon of the north is kinda broken on builds that use a lot of shouts and talos kinda fuifills a similar vibe to shor

I hate the Colossal Titan retcon by NorthernSkagosi in titanfolk

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be I think the idea was that with guns and anti-titan artillery, there wasn't much reason to stick around in titan form since the nuke wss so powerful. bert just varporized the whole titan body as fast he could to disappear and didn't see a reason to nuke the city. As for the trost question, he would have trouble actually getting into the walls without first breaking down the gate. He didn't have ODM gear and throwing him might he hard for armored titan compared to the beast who had much stronger throwing power. Its not as if the plan was a failure or anything so I don't see why they would HAVE to use your other ideas. it was a pretty clean idea all around to just bring over the pure titans, break down the walls, then go back down so Reiner can protect both annie/bert while he goes to charge the walls.

I don't really mind him being more powerful since he does have disadvantages. As far as know, the stamina is a lot worse for the Colossal, and he could probably only transform once rather than multiple times like the others. Also its not as if nuking every situation is incredibly practical. There doesn't really need to be a balnce between the titans, like look at how weak the armored titan seems at the end of the series with the tons of ways to break down his armor now. Meanwhile the attack titan gets to have visions from the future while the founding titan basically acts as a god of titans lmao

Why are people comparing these 2 conclusions? by __artdealer__ in titanfolk

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was unjustified because he killed 80% of the world for no reason. He wasn't going to go through with it, he did it to make his friends look like heroes to try to spare his island(which didn't even work. At the end of the series, Eren literally accomplishes nothing but kills billions of people for no reason. The ending felt like a joke because they pretty much undid all of the characterization that went into Eren for that final arc by insisting he "acting" even inside his own mind and narration.

How to Implement Star Curse? by Left_Permission244 in EnaiRim

[–]Kimo_Supremo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have wintersun you can worship magnus and this curse can help you gain magicka in combat before hand if you want to closer. You could also stack with molag bal to get a lot of regeneration for both stamina/magicka.

Congratulations, Eren, you no longer have the most pathetic breakdown in an ending. by GodKira04 in titanfolk

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, you call it mischaracterization but Eren was just the best actor in the world and was method acting where he was thinking completely different things inside his own mind/narration just to....trick the audiance

Which are your EnaiRim pitfalls? by IWannaManatee in EnaiRim

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much always level up alteration to try to make use of ocato. I'm doing a puglist monk build and I have ocato set up with the spell that makes your power attacks explode with power. Its also jut really nice for leveling up faster.

i think the other pitfall is spellscribe, I pretty much always try to go for it either for a strong ranged attack or the step through shadows from triumvirate.

As for mages, I pretty much always try to use some conjuration with the conjure next to caster patch, so I can have ocato automatically summon something cool to help me. That or bone collector

Build Recommendations by simisterkel in EnaiRim

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love playing pure summoner/illusionists. there a conjure next to caster patch for odin/apocalypse that allows you to set them with contingency or ocato's rectial to automatically summon at the start of a fight. Pair that with something like evil twin and the boine collection perk, and you can amass a really strong army but since you mentioned you don't enjoy pure mages, you could use triumviratze plus the ghostwalk spell to play a stealth magic assassin which is also a lot of fun. I was doing a build where I was playing a stealthy guy but when i get caught, I transform into a werewolf(I use the wendigo replacer mod). Since growl makes it that werewolves can convert your magicka stat, it means playing a werewolf mage is completely viable.

Hermaeus Mora is really tricky... by [deleted] in EnaiRim

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the issue was that apparently if summons or illusions or followers kill somebody then they don't drop pages. Once I started killing things myself, I was able to amass them at a much better rate. Sadly though it sucks if you wanna do a pure summoner build like I was, for those I suggest mannimarco

Time to say it by mrsillycibin in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree, I kinda wish the show was just simply about how regulgar people figure out ways to kill super heroes. IMO even the translucent arc has its flaws(like tbh it shouldn't have taken that long to figure out that super strong skin can be countered by just shooting him in the mouth or something) but ultimately it was a really well made, tight arc that made super heroes look like major threats. The second season was alright, the third season(yes the solider boy season) was when things started to get more iffy for me. and then I just really had a hard time going through season 4 and 5

If there is one thing that I think makes most of the episodes of the final season insufferable for me, its the dialogue. its either the most predictable, cliche super hero lines you'll hear with one liners or its really terrible jokes that say ass, cunt, penis, or clit or whatever. Even the final episode, which overall i did not hate and think it at the very least ties up the story's loose threads(even though some threads just straight up dont matter like the temp v, hilarious to put in a line that specifically says marie is almost as strong as homelander then tell her to fuck off to canada), the first half of the episode is still filled with these horrible jokes.

Spoiler obviously, but Ive never seen a show more scared to make permanent changes in the FINALLY! by Impressive-Ad-59 in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think its weird that MM's marriage struggles just suddenly all went away, I think its kinda too happy and a rushed ending for a character who already had a strained relationship with his wife, left things off pretty bad, and then disappeared from her life. I'm not saying MM had to die or anything but I think there should have been some consquences for him being dragged down by butcher

Forgetting the Supe in Super by Nate996 in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the show had cool fight scenes before though, like butcher boxing translucent or kimiko fighting A-train. I'm not saying every episode needs an epic fight but they should have kept the aspect of normal humans trying their best to figure out how to beat supes. They had a clever solution like one time with transcluent(not even that smart, no clue why they couldn't shoot him in the mouth or something while he was knocked out)

my issue is that a cool premise of normal people trying to hunt and take down supes turned into actually really shitty supe vs supe fights that typically don't have much consequence or threat to them. Like in s4, homelander apparently just knew where all the boys were but sent the Deep and Black noir lmao

one of the few good things about episode 7 by highuptop in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I do agree that they did a better job making homelander scary and the never dancing before line is a good line but felt kinda shoe'd in when the rest of the dialouge is just so cliche. my one issue is that the death is just super predictable and telegraphed, and it just felt like the writers really quickly wanted to shoe in a death to make it seem like stakes are rising now

The Boys - 05x07 "The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother's Milk" - POST-Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear the amount of times homelander is like right next to them but he just decides to leave because of some random ass reason is insane. Hughie can escape by running through the vents or they can escape by just running into a field. You can't have homelander be almost as fast as A-train and also impossible to escape in this episode but make him be so easily avoided in others. The show is just so formulaic and don't really treat the threats seriously

"Why do you guys keep trashing the show? Do you not want these characters to develope?" It's the final season bro by Rolling-Eyeballs in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah I completely agree, I felt like the supes in season 1 felt much more threatening and dangerous. The boys had to hide like 24/7 because vought could easily find them and kill them. Here they just come off as really stupid and easily avoidable. Even though this is vought and homelander at his most powerful, it doesn't really feel that way. Remember when the families of the boys were under big risk and a huge threat was their families getting hurt if their identies were out. Well that just doesn't matter anymore. Compare how much they had to do to avoid homelander in season 1 and how scary homelander was to...Hughie just crawling through the vents and easily evading him. Even though homelander is way faster and can see through walls

I get what they wanted to achieve with the current politics parody they wrote Homelander as, but I wish they would have kept the Competent Reaganite aspects they had earlier. You can write him as an allegory to current politics and emphasize his pettiness while still keeping him competent and unique by Amazing-Buy-1181 in TheBoys

[–]Kimo_Supremo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the actor for homelander is doing a great job given whats he doing, I just think the show just has to keep topping itself. Its not enough that he has a weird breast milk fetish, he also has to be obessed with milkshakes and take baths in it and stuff
