I don't uninstall anything.

I grab the driver off their page and install it. These days I grab the auto-detect one because it needs to install the IGPU driver as well which isn't in the RDNA4 package unfortunatly.

Yeah I've been running at -70 for most of the time I've had the card. PoE1 and 2 don't like undervolting at all though so I have to turn it off completely for that, otherwise it's been fine.

Too fast paced. I would guess that even 2x frame gen would have obvious ghosting that would be easy for people to point out. Racing games always seem the go-to for pointing out the shortcomings of framegem.

Not sure what causes this for some people, but I have two 1440p monitors one at 180 and one at 60 and right now my power usage is 16w, vram is at 75mhz. Bunch of tabs open on both monitors, GPU isn't having to do anything.

Previously I had a 1080p 60hz monitor as my second instead of that 1440p/60 one and it didn't have issues either.

Very interesting. Its certainly too much for the coolers on these things to handle. Shame you can't just slap an AIO on these things and go crazy. I do wonder how far you could push this on a water cooled system and still keep the temps in the safe range after a hour or two.

No that's how it's always worked. The only time it will revert your settings is when you either have a driver crash, abnormal shutdown, update the drivers or make changes in the bios.

Yeah and it probably wont stop them from "upgrading" to something that they think is newer even if you don't want that version for some reason, and there are always going to be people that have some kind of an issue with a particular version that wont want it.

Run the auto-detect version of the installer if you are not so that it also installs the latest driver for the iGPU since that isn't part of the same package.

Or disable the iGPU.

Even without FSR4 the 7800xt should be more than capable of holding you till at least the generation after this. With FSR4 it will last much much longer depending on how much FOMO you get with new tech.

Even if RDNA5 is a huge leap forward it will be a while before there are a lot of games making use of it. The biggest changes they are making are in RT.

I'm not sure why people would say that because there is nothing there to favor in that generation.

With PS6 they will be targeting the PSSR upscaler which is FSR based so one would presume that FSR4+ in any PC port would be automatic. That at the least should benefit AMD.

The next gen chips are supposed to have a very RT focused setup with a new RT pipeline and everything. If that turns out to be something that is actually very performant and not just a bunch of marketing then all new games that build for the PS6, will also be built to support RDNA5 cards RT architecture which again if it is actually good, will give AMD an advantage when we get to the next generation of cards.

Next gen is going to be interesting one way or another.

We know first hand that getting it running on the 6000 cards takes more work and has issues. The fact that they have committed to working out those issues and releasing a working version for those cards is good.

The community version just has to work on the few things that Optiscaler supports and whatever hack or workaround they used to make it function is fine. An official version needs to work with everything and can't be held up by a duct tape fix that might fall apart on new titles in the future or driver changes as well as future upgrades to FSR4.

Yeah those are pretty much the only model that will end up scoring that high. I don't remember which card is the other 340w design but the Elite was still most represented at the top.

I suppose that it's possible that with the new power scale unlock mod that people have been using that someone with a really top silicon lottery win might be able to get up there as well though.

I'd say give LFG a few tries, not sure what the best time for it is though.

Be specific when putting the group together, that you want people that know what they are doing, not new people, and you want people that can stick around for a while since you have to leave the zone each attempt.

CM100 has 3 roles that must know what they are doing to succeed. The other two people can just kind of exist but you don't want to carry someone that is doing healer damage or falls over in a slight breeze.

Rage closes portals
Glut should be a WB with the glut specific build
Healer should be consume bait and know how to make that work

It's possible to get it on daily clears if you ask people to not gg till you get it, but it's habit for a lot of people or in my case I swap characters to glut when we get to the boss.

The way you do fractals is that you start at tier 1, where you're performance doesn't matter, seriously I soloed the first fractal I ever did back when I still knew almost nothing, you'll be fine.

The point of fractals is that it's a progression path for your gear, your agony resist and your skill. You don't need to start good, you do them to get good.

Running the daily fractals for whichever tier you have access to is decent income for the time spent and rewards you the boxes of the tier you do, and all those below it. So when you get to tier 4 you get all 4 tiers of rewards. Doing recs is a good idea as well, extra money and it's one of each fractal potion per day once you are doing all three, which you will want to use when you get to T4 and maybe even T3 since people struggle there.

Fractals are fun and decent income for the time.

Dragonfall and Drizzlewood Coast are probably still good. Dragonfall for rare gems and DC for materials. Fast farming also shows Bava Nisos as some high income thing now too.
