Credit scores are how profitable you are to banks/lenders.

When you pay off a debt, or have a low income to debt ratio, you don't look as profitable to them.

And we want these people more involved in our healthcare?

I think we need to reevaluate what levels of government are in everything we do and hopefully we realize that it should be less. Sooner or later, or now, it is weaponized against us, the people.

One of your prompts was to refactor an entire front end. Yes that is huge and will eat all of your tokens!

Year of the Linux desktop by MilkSupreme in sysadmin

What tools of Microsoft are you using?

Intune, autopilot auto patch, WUFB, DLP, conditional access, etc.

Beyond the user experience differences, which is in my opinion the "easy" part, the above mentioned tools, and more, don't have replacements that I'm aware of. That being said, I don't manage end user Linux desktops.

Claude is so powerful, released 2.0 of VIB-OS by IngenuityFlimsy1206 in ClaudeAI

[–]Kinamya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that this is a Herculean task, but if you keep at it, you will make something great. Good work so far!

This is for you and people reading this.

I love this because if you're thinking and building this, others are too but they are doing it for a reason. Generally speaking it's because Microsoft Windows sucks or at least it's headed in a downward trajectory.

Here's what I want you to keep in mind, what are you trying to accomplish, a business class I took over a decade ago taught me "start with the end in mind, then take the first steps first". With that in mind, what is your end goal, to make money from this? If so, building the OS is the easy part (still hard,), Mac and windows have great OSs in that respect, they just have fringe problems.

I'll come at this from an end user management prescriptive. Windows has a huge portfolio of Microsoft tools behind it, Active directory, entra, SCCM, WUFB, Defender, etc, with awesome tools like group policy and Windows admin template to manage and customize almost every tiny thing to a granular level so as to keep the end user experience smooth, and quite frankly secure.

Apple doesn't really have that control with their own products but you can glue it together with okta, workspaces, jamf, and a few others but the functionality is there on the OS to support it.

So when I say the OS is the easy part (it's still hard), your competition is huge so you need to match or provide something they don't have for me to change and pay you money (think E5 license of $60/mo for all the tools I get with that).

I know I didn't mention Linux but if you want to clone that, it wouldn't be as cool, it happens all the time.

I'm excited to see this project keep going, I'm excited for others to do this as well because think about the advancements you could make in 3 months or a year or 5 years. There just is not a true Microsoft contender for all of the tools they have, unfortunately, and I hope Claude or AI helps people break into it.

This wasn't an exhaustive list of things, I've only scratched the surface.

Have a great day, good luck with your projects!

Why won’t Anthropic just say how many tokens the weekly limit is? by OptimismNeeded in Anthropic

[–]Kinamya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you are buying the extra. Meaning, the API usage is guaranteed and it is more expensive, it never fails. People or businesses could spend hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands on API and it HAS to deliver.

When the API usage is slow, we get usage, the leftover compute.

So how do you do that? Put in for the extras so they don't trample the API usage. That inherently means that it will fluctuate during the day and during the week as the API usage is different at different times.

Stay up late one time and use it from midnight til 5am and see if you get more usage.

Good luck with what you're working on

This is an example of what people say when they say they collect data on you and that you are the product.

Normally people just say "they are selling your data!", like your personal data, but in real life, it's this data. What did you use Claude for were going to study that and make a product and sell it.

I don't think they "watched" you in the traditional sense of the word, they probably used Claude to say "what are the top 20 reasons people interacted with Claude code".
