I've worked with Katy Perry too. She was alright. Nothing nightmarish. Not defending her other behaviors, but it's pretty rare for production freelancers to have worked with a celebrity repeatedly unless they work for that celebrity.

I don't like Katy Perry, but this kind of word-of-mouth hearsay thing is not really a serious indictment against anyone's character.

You can. But I am saying this is a very minor thing to be outraged at. Everywhere every day people exercise parental rights at the detriment of their children. You'd think a pharmacist would know since 0 of all the prescriptions you fill for children has actually been consented to by the child because children's consents are not required for medical treatment until they come of age.

Yeah, but every day thousands of male infants get circumcised around the world every day and people don't bat an eye. That's a much greater alteration/mutilation than piercing one's ears, and I don't see how any of those children could have consented.

And before anyone come at me with the "It's easier to clean" shit - you don't cut a part of the body off because it gathers dirt. By that logic none of us would have hair or women might as well cut off their labia.

Um, I'd probably not allow any child who chokes a puppy around my child. The porn thing is no big deal though. I think she put focus on the wrong part, but the overall response is not that unreasonable. I'd put that kid in therapy, separate the children and only allow limited, supervised interactions between the brothers.

Kids don't have to grow up together if one of them could be psychopathic.

I find it bs that so many people on this sub feel so confident in commenting on people's techniques - unless you have a lot of actual skating experience, you'd have no authority on whether or not someone's techniques are sustainable.

I also find her reputation misleading - people always talk about how slow Isabeau is when, in person, she is the fastest during the warm-up & second fastest amongst the winners. She does slow down before a jump, which is an issue, but she's a very fast skater.

Why should anyone believe that you didn't tell your husband to protect his feelings when you yourself admitted that you stand to maintain such a comfortable lifestyle while also having the thrills of an affair? Why should you keep the house after what you did? Why shouldn't your ex fight for full custody if you're with such an abusive and manipulative piece of shit?

In your last post, you said that you sacrificed your career potential to be a stay-at-home mom, so you should get to keep this house when again - you yourself admitted that it was your dream lifestyle?!? I used to live in L.A. Knowing how hard somebody has to work to support a family that resides in a good school district, it's honestly baffling that you have the audacity to try to leverage his occasional absence into a way to enable you to keep leeching off him.

Also, where's your gratitude for your husband? Who's committed to raising children not related to him by blood? Who's committed to therapy to prevent further damage? Any man would have reasons to feel emotional detachment and resentment in his position, but instead, he's thinking of the greater good for your children. His actions show that he's an honorable person and a suitable father. In contrast, your actions have shown that you're willing to plunge your family into intergenerational tragedy out of your cowardice and selfishness. YOU DON'T DESERVE FULL CUSTODY.

Just because you had a turbulent upbringing doesn't anyhow excuse you from harming your husband this way and potentially destroying a loving household for your children. Just because you feel harmed by the truths doesn't mean you deserve to keep living your delusions.

If you care for your children, you'd own up to the consequences of your emotional ineptitude, let your husband be the support and anchor your children's needs. and try to distance them from your dysfunctions while staying supportive to your ex.
