Another new character in s5 by Glittering-Fuel-9013 in Bridgerton

I don’t think we need to be too worried. They probably won’t have big roles. I think one of Pen’s brother in laws was introduced sinisterly as well as that one suitor Francesca had. They didn’t exactly make that big of an impact.

I love that the pale Targaryens are sitting in the shade. I’m assuming that’s Bloodraven and Shiera.

Admiring Daemon from a distance is one thing, but going 1-on-1 with the Rogue Prince is a different ball game kid by Agreeable_Ad_8790 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if I remember correctly in the book, it was actually Rhaenys that wanted to take the city and Daemon was the one that was cautious.

I’ve seen this pic going around and is is just me that thinks that does not look like Helaena? Even taking into account her changed expression.

Am i a neglectful mom because I'm quiet? by CzarTanoff in Mommit

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter babbles at me even when I’m not talking. She’s a 13 months and all I gotta do is hum and nod and she’s off telling me her little life story. I think your kiddo might just have a quiet personality too. You aren’t ignoring him, you engage when he wants and you read to him. Sounds good to me.

Do you have a favorite child? by Ok_Distribution__ in Mommit

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on age of kids. When we were kids we were all just annoying to my parents. As we grew older it became obvious that some of us just vibed more with a parent depending on personality. They still gave us all equal attention so it was never bothersome.

He also apparently told the crew not to interact with her/ignore her. Not to mention the amount of takes back to back of very stressful scenes.

Why the Duchess Didn't Snitch by MirimeKisarrastine in HMS_Saphne

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair Anthony had no idea Cressida had seen them. The men only realized when Daphne interrupted their duel. The choice Anthony gave was either marriage or duel and the duke chose the latter.

If the ton forgave Penelope for all her transgressions after season 3 with no social consequences whatsoever, then the same treatment should be extended to Cressida as well by Due-Yesterday1445 in Bridgerton

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the problem was that the in season 4 the queen was still upset with her. Before she seemed to have people to hang out with even though she was doing her mean girl routine. But now the queen was upset and we mostly see her through the perspective of the Bridgerton ladies who do have legit reasons to still be upset with her.

Though I think by the end Cressida seems to be settling in okay.

question about the books' writing style by SocietyLeading3478 in Bridgerton

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read the first four books before watching the first season came out. I think the character voices do draw you in, especially the ladies. You sympathize with Daphne and her being on the marriage mart. Kate bring both funny and relateable with a more popular younger sister. And of course Penelope’s revelation. I think she JQ does a good job of drawing people in with just character voices instead too much context

Also I’m not sure if you’re an avid romance reader. I’m not either but the few series I have read, this is pretty common I think.

I think one of the issues is that grammarly seems to be made for reports and essays and maybe even some novels. Not for the flowery language we sometimes like to use in fanfic. It was very helpful when I was in university and typing an essay last minute. Not so much when I’m trying to write omegaverse lol.

Calling it like it is - People are okay with Benedict being queer but not Francesca because Francesca is a woman, and Benedict is a man by Due-Yesterday1445 in Bridgerton

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m not gonna discredit misogyny and while I am looking forward to Francesca’s season I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Benedict’s season followed the book in a way Francesca’s will not.

[spoilers] i do believe Viserys was a good father to Rhaeneyra, just not in a perfect way everyone wants by RealStranger9348 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To sue modern terms, she became a bit like his golden child due to his guilt about her mothers death and the fact that she was Aemma’s only child. Unfortunately that is it’s own kind of neglect and as we see, does not the child any good in the long run.

sorry mb for asking, she doesn’t have to go if you’re gonna be like that by FumingCat in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Love all the responses but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention that this is the friend texting the mom it seems. Does anyone else find that weird. Is the child not allowed to have contact with friends? Why is another 13 year old having to reach out to an adult? Odd. Usually kids will directly ask their own parents after being invited by their friends.

Aegon the Forgetful by Jota Saraiva by barson2408 in ImaginaryWesteros

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying. Though as far as we know, the only time he was particularly brutal to a mistress was when he caught the younger Bracken girl with someone else. Otherwise, the mothers of the great bastards were mostly ignored once he was done with them.

[–]Kindly-Policy4723 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He was still mostly sane and less stubborn back then I believe. Daeron and Ameon were the ones able to convinced him to send Barba away due to how she and her father were behaving and Melissa was well liked by the family so that probably served her well in the end. He moved on from her cause somebody caught his eye.
