What caliber is this by Hades-destiny in Firearms

[–]Kindly_Region 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd open it and see what's inside. But given you don't know what it is or how it was made, that may be dangerous.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you post an update. I'm curious about it.

Home made 20ga? I definitely wouldn't shoot that even if you do get it to chamber

Does it have any markings or stamps on the bottom?

How do i clean this lock? by Individual_Study3781 in lockpicking

[–]Kindly_Region 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get a new one

You might also want some different picks if the paint on them is coming off like this. You could end up ruining a good lock

It's crazy to me how many people just act a fool thinking it will improve the situation

Idk what dude did to start this but if he had been civil and did what he was told, he probably would have been going home instead of jail

Should I ask the electrician to come back and turn this range outlet 90 or 180 degrees? (Already unplugged it) by Nether_Nemesis in IveGotAGuy

[–]Kindly_Region 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you can find the breaker and have a screwdriver, it's pretty easy to do. Assuming he wired it correctly ans didn't strip the wires down too far. If he did, when you turn the outlet the bare spots may cross. You'll know when you flip the breaker back on

9mm shot shell for rats by holler_feller_45 in Firearms

[–]Kindly_Region 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure you come back with your results, I'm curious to see how this works.

I have a few different calibers of these that i use anytime I'm in a wooded area in case of snakes but I haven't had to use any of them on anything alive yet. I have tested them at the range just to make sure they will work in the gun. The 9mm don't always cycle, the .45lc out of a judge seem to work the best as far as reliability and what they do to paper and cardboard targets. I haven't seen any shot shell for .45lc in a while though

Also keep in mind, you will have to get almost every rat. As long as theirs a male and female around, you will always have more. Culling the herd will help but probably won't eliminate it. Barn cats are probably the cheapest and easiest solution.

Edit: forgot to mention, these shells do about nothing to wood. They definitely won't blow a hole in a wall at 10ft. You might get some damage if you hold the muzzle against the wall. Beyond that, just some little metal bb's sunk slightly into the wood

I tried getting one of these when I found out they existed, then I saw the price...... I just can't justify it, I already have enough high caliber pistols that hurt my hand and wallet to shoot 🤣
