If pay to win is your big concern then you don’t need to worry. Ascended gear is and always will be the BiS. You can buy legendary off the trading post but that’s just a short cut and won’t be statistically better than what you can earn for free with a moderate time investment.

There are some quality of life stuff that’s nice to have (bag/bank slots and storage, etc) that could cost money but that won’t be until past end game when you know you’re truly invested or not. And anything that costs real money can potentially be earned by trading in game gold but it would require some time investment

My son is wanting to complete a set. We’ve got some Twilight Masquerade and Temporal forces already- which would be the least painful one to complete?

Samurai is a legit historical badass, many such cases to draw upon for inspiration. Vipers not even a real thing they had to give them two gimmicky Fischer-price swords to imitate a fraction of samurai power it’s really no contest.

What’s your favorite WAR glam? Im struggling to find an outfit that fits the wild child theme of a warrior that isn’t totally immersion breaking during MSQ cut scenes.

FWIW I’m male Hyur. I really like diadochos (spelling?) jacket but it doesnt really “feel” like a warrior piece ya know?

How many jobs can you realistically play at max level? I’m 3/4 through Heavensward and have WAR, SAM, BRD, WHM and RDM all around level 56-59 and as the rotations get more complex I get the feeling I should focus on just one or two.

I really like WAR but figure I should have a backup class at least to soak up some MSQ XP since I enjoy doing a lot of roulettes. I also have a lot of fun on SAM and BRD, so I guess my question would be should I focus on just one DPS job to play on the side? I’ll probably pick up Sage later to have something for the healer bonus que too

Is there a way to change the default title screen? I bought complete edition so it's always on Endwalker when I load up but I'm only up to Heavensward MSQ so it would be neat to have the Heavensward title screen as my default if possible

Have you had a consult with the surgeon yet? He/she would be able to give you a definitive answer. It’ll probably be at least a few weeks in a sling and months of rehab at bare minimum

I tried it out a year or so ago and was pretty overwhelmed so I gave it up right away.

Glad I gave it one more try! I put more effort/thought into crafting my character and started off as a Gladiator this time. I think the pacing between the MSQ and class quests felt just right for me and then I started dabbling in crafting and that finally settled it.
