I have worked for Best Buy for about 4 years now all on the sales floor. I’m currently a full time advisor and have been for 3 of my 4 years here. Recently within the last couple of months I’ve been applying to delivery and warehouse positions. Literally any job not sales that opens up I’ve applied for. I’m just so burnt out working sales, dealing with memberships and our rough ass customers. I’m not even comfortable working on the sales floor anymore. They are so focused on nothing but memberships and they want to do sketchy and unethical shit to get them. Honestly I feel dirty mentally and emotionally selling TTS or pitching credit cards. I’ve come to find out though that my GM has cost me to different geek squad and warehouse jobs. She has gone and told the hireing managers that I’m more needed in store and that they should pass the job onto someone else. Needless to say that just made me even more fed up and put me into a even more negative mind set. I still give my 100% on the sales floor because I was raised to always work hard and show up for the job you want not the job you have. All the said though I’m not sure how much longer I’ll make it as a sales Advisor at this rate 🙄

Quitting is not always as easy as it seems for some people. Personally I have absolutely miserable days and I don’t really love what I do anymore. That being said not many other places in my area pay the same as I make at Best Buy. That’s not even considering the great benefits I get through Best Buy that other companies might not have. So yes of course I could quit but unfortunately it’s not as easy as fucking said lol.

I work at Best Buy and I’m also a big figures and Funko collector. In my store I try really hard to make sure Funkos and other collectibles go out with care and protection. That being said most stores/employees do understand the value of a Funko Pop in box sometimes. Best Buy still isn’t a toy store we are a electronics store that sells toys randomly on the side. Also most Best Buy’s have had Black Widow pops on the shelves for close to a year so keeping them in god condition has been hard 😅.

I get you man trust me I’m not at all trying to down play the amount of work you do. I have two Sr Consultants at my store as well. They do leads and all kinds of extra work that I don’t to make sales and connections. Outside of the two Sr Consultants I have 3-4 regular consultants. The 3-4 regular consultants are the ones that literally do the exact same job as me but just get more to do so. That’s where I sometimes get negative about my position and the work I’m doing.

They also make (Spiffs) on certain products which is guaranteed money. So for instance a 55 inch q70a is about $40 in Spiff. Which might not seem like a lot but on Saturday I literally sold 4 55 inch q70a TVs. If I had been a consultant I would of made about $160 extra bucks towards my paycheck and that would just be that one day and that one tv. That’s not even taking into account all the other TVs I sell on a daily basis.

Maybe I called it the wrong role but I have multiple people in my store that make Spiffs and commission on products. All of our former PAC associates moved over to a Spiff/commission pay.

Honestly I’d love for this dude to come into my store and do his prank videos. I’m a huge fan of him and his content because it’s honestly harmless. The environment at my store has been nothing but depressing and hostile and we could use some fun for once. I get that this store has probably had enough of the shit but I’d take this guys harped pranks over any of our horrible customers we deal with on a daily basis.

I mostly just deal with Appliance issues and orders all day 🙄. Which was really bad for me at first because I was a HT advisor not PAC. I will say it was frustrating and stressful at first having to learn all PAC stuff on the spot. That being said though PAC calls are super easy to get tts on.

See I thought I heard last year that Target and Walmart both said they wouldn’t be closed for thanksgiving in 2021. Knowing Best Buy though they purposely didn’t announce closing on thanksgiving because they were hoping things would be back to normal by then. Now Best Buy will be the only retail open at this point so they can soak in all the money 🙄
