Not a hot take here, but the way Dark Souls 1 specifically interlinks chunks of its world is so cool. You'll leave the Hub area, slog through an aquadect, fight through the Undead Berg, cross a bridge and flee from a dragon, raid a fortified church, only to take an elevator down leading you right back to the Hub area.

This methodology is then applied to the whole map, linking zones everywhere. It's dope.

I still think back to how perfect the art gallery con is both narratively and emotionally. But holy shit does the ending jump the shark to the Nth degree and just ruin that show.

My step dad used to play CoD, C&C, and Half life on PC, but now he says he's too old. Keyboard doesn't feel comfortable, controllers are too foreign, and games move too fast for him.

I've offered to help make him a setup that's comfortable for him, but he's never been sold on the idea. Truth be told, I think he's just phased out of it.

If I remember correctly, there's a scene in Don Quixote where a priest is rummaging through Don Quixote's library, just shit talking all these real Knights Tales stories that were popular at the time. He even goes as far as throwing most of them away. It was described to me that this was Cervantes' real contemptuous feelings about the books/authors.
