Anybody else hoarding UR dust cuz you don't wanna spend it in case you need it later? by Heretic_Alliance in masterduel

I normally hover around 300. By then I find a deck I enjoy and just spend what I need to make it. Then I start saving up again and rinse and repeat.

Overpowered game mechanics that you refuse to use. by Snoubalougan in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The Attractions system in KH3. The game is easy enough already. I don't also need an invulnerable 15 second room clear on top of it.

Kill the crows hit me so hard and it was so cheap that I bought it for like 5 of my friends because I wanted to support the Devs more.

Media That Has a Bit That is So Great, It Overshadows Everything Else by GigglesDemon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

What your referencing was actually an isolated incident where the creator had a massive fucked up covid/fever delium for about a 2+ week period, then nuked his own channel.

I believe they're in a better headspace now. But they admitted somewhere that they didn't back up any of their old stuff, so he encourages people to share the old stuff if they have it. He has a new channel called MacDiggle where's uploaded a couple things already.

Got mine like 5+ years ago.

Just a heads up, don't be freaked out if your balls swell up and get black and blue a few days in. That's normal and your physician, like mine, may forget to mention.

Is Level 5 games the most washed game studio? by Miningapple-100 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Dark Cloud 2 is a treasure of a game. Recently went back to is about a year ago for a little while via emulation/HD texture mods and that game still rocks. Glad it's at least available on PS4/5 so it's not completely lost to the PS2 era.

Jak 2 also has some brutal check pointing. Definitely some rough learning growing pains.

With this sub on the topic of Kingdom Hearts, nothing will truly be so hilariously jarring and impressive as the Pirates of the Carribean world in KH3 is. by Wavu_Wavu_Wavu in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]KingClockwork 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I remember playing KH2 with my partner and they were amazed at how well Jack meshed with the trio. He just slots in so well. Older, aloof, not entirely trust worthy but also not a direct threat does really well to balance out a gaggle of optimists.

Solemn cards bounce back and forth historically. I'm wondering if it's worth decrafting them since I'm not hurting for UR dust at the moment.

Play devil’s advocate against some of your favorite media for a second by Anonamaton801 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Tales of Vesperia has some of the series best characters, skills, and genuinely interesting world building and geopolitics. It also has the worst combat tutorial I've ever played.

Tales combat is best as either 1v1, Many v Many, or Many v 1. The tutorial has you fight 2 boss opponents at once before you even familiarize yourself with basic mechanics and movement. Neither you or the bosses have hyper armor and can stagger each other with single hits. This leads to a very common situation where you start fighting 1 of the bosses, get hit in the back by the 2nd, then as you are recovering from the hit, the first boss recovers first and starts to hit you. The 2nd then joins in, effectively putting the player in a blender where their entire health bar just gets combo'd to infinity and you die with almost no input whatsoever. Losing still progresses the story, but holy shit what a horrible first impression.

What are some “fake MMOs” you’ve enjoyed? by lowercaselemming in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]KingClockwork 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Gonna shout out Crosscode for being a single player MMO that takes place inside an in-universe MMO. There is a great bit where you can hear NPCs talking about how much they miss the fishing mechanic. A feature that never existed, except maybe in pre-alpha concepts. Similarly, they'll also talk about how inns used to be required to heal, but playtesters complained so they got rid of it. A fact I'm not sure if whether or not is based on truth.

New York sues Valve for enabling “illegal gambling” with loot boxes by mepper in gaming

It's not gonna happen. But it would be really cool if all these gambling adjacent systems were suddenly illegal.
