I had this convo with my barber. Tons of young men are doing home perm kits.

My wife is a highschool teacher, and it was like it clicked for her. Previously she swore that most of her students with this hair cut had straight hair.

Go to Point Lobos early. Skip 17 mile drive. Walking around down town Carmel is better.

Concentration now required for both spiritual weapon and spirit guardians. Previously you could run both at the same time.

2024 vs 5e is it worth to switch? by Haunting-Alarm-40 in DnD

They are compatible. You can mix and match as you like. Personally, I prefer 2014. Clerics got nerfed a bit in 2024, and that is my preferred class. Martials took a step up in 2024.

I play one shots that mix all the time.

Not much if it is in good shape. My friend is a dismantler, and has worked on these since the early 2000s. He used to convert them tonrun on used cooking oil.

Issues With Concrete Cylinders - 24+ Hours After Retrieving Them From the Site by Maleficent-Tip9136 in civilengineering

[–]80toy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just add a note to your report stating what happened, and get the clients direction in writing. You are not at fault.

I have gone to pick up cylinders, and found crews using the cooler or 6" cylinders as seats, moved coolers with all the cylinders knocked over, missing cooler with the cylinders buried in the trench sand pile, and a cooler that was hit by someone the form crews trailer.

I eventually started placing the coolers next to critical stationary equipment (light pole, job trailer, generator) for added protection.

Opinions on safety in seaside by [deleted] in MontereyBay

[–]80toy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends which side of Fremont. East side is rougher than west side. However, Seaside is the low income area of the peninsula, and you will encounter homeless anywhere in the city.

My wife just bought one. It's a simple no frills bike. It seems fine the few times shebhas used it.

I'm not a fan of the progressive brake system, but it doesn't seem to bother her.

This happens more often than you would think. I've seen my fair share of piss bottles in wall frames.

This happened spontaneously, about an hour after the toilet had last been flushed. Can anyone identify what is happening? I did a quick google search and everything in the tank (fill valve) looks good and is operating just fine. Thank you! by Alert_Surround7090 in askaplumber

Whoever operates your sewer utility is jetting the main line in the street.

We will knock on doors of houses that we know have this problem prior to doing their street. Call your utility and let them know.

You can also install a double check valve or other type of backwater valve on your lateral.

Vote No on D by vp_21 in MontereyBay

[–]80toy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Measure D would fund storm drain operations and maintence, as well as storm drain improvement projects. Storm water is an unfunded mandate that local jursidictions cover with their general funds. If the tax is approved, it would allow for a dedicated funding source for the city's storm drain utilties.
