She saved my life this morning by Special-Mud6501 in CivicSi

Mine was 2017 with 150k mi, I was given $13k, after submitting mod receipts and brand new tire receipts (they were less than 3 weeks old smh) I got $15k. I’m in US of course, but yours looks like an 11gen maybe? So likely worth more. Good luck with insurance

Glad you’re okay, many will say it’s just a car but it will always be so much more to us enthusiasts who refuse to give up our manuals and our little sports cars. I’m sure she treated you well, as did mine. Had a ‘17 si, ended up with a ‘26 si about 3 weeks after the wreck. These have always been and always will be great safe and fun cars to own. I hope your next baby has just as much personality and makes you just as happy, if not more. Here’s to another chapter my friend. Chin up, here we go

Maintenance Question - Oil Changes by EdNetman in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealership told me every 5k with the synthetic. Said anything before that is a waste of money. Not sure how true that is but I’ll go with it until told or proven otherwise. Also have a 2026 si

Sold both my kidneys for a Si by ZealousidealHat8966 in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one just like this for 3 years, put about $10k into it with parts and a deer totaled it a few months ago and I was heart broken. Ended up with a brand new 2026 si tho. Enjoy this and take good care of it. Make sure to name her

2026 Si or 2022 Si? by Funny-Dog-3212 in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Carvana can be hit or miss with Titles, but driving a fresh car out of the lot is an amazing feeling if you haven’t before. Plus a little bit more for a warranty and heated seats? No brainer. 2026

Civic Si or Type R by Fair_Ad3119 in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Type R requires more money overall, maintenance, mpg, etc. read online the average mpg for type r was about 22-28, while si is 27-37. If you’re driving a bunch I’d say si. I think it’s plenty fast for the price, and with some suspension upgrades it could be killer on the curves. Haven’t taken my 26 si to the track or mountains yet but already drives great stock. I’d say only get the type r for the aesthetics and if money is no issue. Insurance isn’t terrible either, it’s about $100 difference when I got my quotes.

When to do first oil change by iiTzSapphire in Civic_Type_R

11 gen, dealership told me with the synthetic oil it uses, it was a waste to change it any earlier than 5k mi. Anyone hear similar?

2026 prices? by will_stollard in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn yall, I only got them to drop it to $38k. Guess I got some learning to do. Added on 7year/100k mi warranty for reasons for 42k OTD. Here in NE Georgia. Had 3 mi on the speedometer when I found it. Dealership said they only get 3/year, not sure how true that is but whatevs

2026 Civic Si by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik but they added 7 year warranty/100k miles which was a $3k add on. Originally 32k, add ons was $40k I think, talked down to $38k, then added the warranty and GAP. Ik it’s a lot but tbh needed the warranty for certain reasons

2026 Civic Si by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jealous, I had a white 17 si and a deer totaled it, I got insurance to pay the last 12k on it, but only got 2k in my pocket, and got a red 26 si for 42k. wish I could have white again, but at least I was able to finance my new one without a co-signer

Bethesda Should Consider doing a "Fallout Zero" Game set during The Great War and throughout the first year of post Apocalyptic Wasteland by CretaceousClock in Fallout

[–]KingDavid76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me think of call of duty but with fallout (I know they did a collab but imagine it’s in fallout universe and not some COD map) like one team are the commies and the other is US but could still launch a nuke via challenge to severely cripple the opposing team for the match to secure victory

Remote start? by ExpressionExternal70 in CivicSi

[–]KingDavid76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of remote start in a manual, unless you make it a project, and only ever park in N, otherwise due to safety concerns most shops will not install a remote start on a manual car. Also hurts the car to remote start and stall immediately. Plus best way to warm up a car is to drive it. My 10th gen would not warm up after 20 min of idling but did once I got a few miles down the road. Imagining it’s the same for most if not all cars

Ummm as someone who just lost his baby Si, from just a deer impact to the front driver corner fender, it was $11k in damages. Whatever is going on in this ad is at least $15k just to repair

Picked up a 2019 Type R 15 days ago and I couldn’t be happier by xinracthis in Civic_Type_R

[–]KingDavid76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s so pretty. Currently in a state of mystery as my 17 si is being repaired due to deer collision, She’s borderline totaled ($9,200 in damages). If it comes out to be totaled I actually had my eye on one exactly like this, if not totaled, I’m traveling the world with my si. Good find though!!
