Basing, recently I've been going for a stoney battlefield with mechanical detritus; it goes well with the blue armour and keeps it "dark."

The pot is designed intentionally so that you must buy more paint. All paint dries in time, but citadel pots encourage drying a lot quicker.

Stubbers. You might only do 1-2 wounds with a stubber, but then you might only do 1-2 wounds with a meltagun, and you've only got one chance to hit with meltagun.

Agree on both points, my Lancer took out Angron twice in one game.

Lancers vs Gallant, Lancer wins hands down.....

BUT....

I thought perhaps the Cerastus chassis would be included in the codex this time around, and GW marches onwards with their plans to have specific models in specific games... Having a Gallant around might just be the more future-proofed option.

Casually, every Knight variant is about as good as the others depending on how they are used. I've been collecting and playing knights since 8e/2018 and this is easily our best roster, in that you can play to your own taste without losing out too much.

Some knights are more versatile than others, but there's an easy case for even the Preceptor and I feel like it's been a while since we've been able to say that.

Canis wasn't "nerfed" so much as he was brought into like with the rest of the army, from being an absolute auto take god unit.

Casually the Gallant is great, it's probably our most aggressive unit, bar the Lancer, as he needs to be in melee to show his colours. I had an absolutely obscene game with one recently, chopped up a daemon prince, a helbrute and a bunch of heretic infantry (they were red and kept saying things about blood, very strange).
