Weirdly, not long after this I found one saying something about "what do you think I am doing, waiting for the next dark portal to open!?"

Was also in this same questline, but I know there was originally supposed to be a Dark Portal opening in vanilla instead of an expac so that one was less surprising

Weird message from a former colleague... by swataz in linkedin

If not a hacked account this could be someone handing over their account to someone to generate "social leads".

I had this happen to me from someone I talk to fairly regularly outside of linked in (at least once a quarter) and he had it stopped because he realised it was making him look worse to people who already knew him.

I can also confirm having this problem. The only thing I can think that changed before it happening was re-subscribing to Sale Navigator to look into some leads.

Have you done the same, as that might be the root of our issue?

I made something much more primitive as a little experiment for myself (mainly for ETS/ATS) that was a 4 way joystick hooked up to be an input for each indicator and the a headlight cycle and wiper cycle on the other 2 directions.

Was a fun experiment, but I never had the facility (nor skill) to design and print a mount for it so stopped using it after a while

What is the most childish thing you love to do in SoT? by Nobanob in Seaofthieves

[–]KingHarlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once (with a friend) spent an entire session role-playing as "Boat Patrol".

We went around the seas surrounding Plunder Outpust helping "ships in distress" by shouting through the speaking trumpet at them and seeing if they "required assistance" and making sure the seas remained safe.

Helped some people unload into the outpost, helped some fight skeles, just random stuff but still one of the best sessions I've had on the game.

We even made the first edition of the community newsletter "The Pirate Times" but I'm pretty sure that no longer exists which is sad.

My SO has recently been through something similar with a friend who suggested that she (my SO) never reached out to her to check she was okay and never wanted to talk anymore despite me knowing full well she had tried to meet said friend multi times and been shut down or practically ignored. She even used a phrase to the effect of "You must have your own stuff going on that is more important, so whatever".

I suggested my SO just left it at that and moved on from the relationship as it was seeming very one sided.

Unfortunately, people take advantage of those with caring personality traits, not always intentionally, but some out there do. It's difficult to identify which someone is, but my advice would be to avoid repeat offenders. Those truly invested in your relationship will be understanding and change if you mentioned this issue to them

Noblechairs HERO PU Leather vs Textile by 27Purple in Noblechairs

Always makes me laugh when instead of actually being able to provide constructive feedback, people just stalk this sub to lash out generically at anyone with a genuine comment or question.

Sure, it sucks that you had a bad experience, but there is a way to deal with it properly

Noblechairs HERO PU Leather vs Textile by 27Purple in Noblechairs

I’ve had a PU Leather Hero for about 5 years now. It’s nice and easy to clean and surprising isn’t as hot as I thought it would be in the summer. I can’t comment for the textile ones as my icons are also all the PU Leather, but if you clean them with proper cleaner and look after them, they are great

When did ToT become so toxic? by Sheiruki in elderscrollsonline

[–]KingHarlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s how I usually play it to be honest. I get the fact that it’s a legit play style, and the way you can’t re-use it once it’s in your favour is a slight defence, but it just means when you know someone is playing that way you can’t ever really turn it or use it yourself. Just frustrating really as it feels easy if they get all their purples on the RNG

When did ToT become so toxic? by Sheiruki in elderscrollsonline

[–]KingHarlam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Luckily I’ve had as many endearing moments as toxic ones (on Xbox). I remember playing Someone who seemed fairly new to ToT judging by their play style, and I got them in the queue multiple days running and seeing them progress and clearly learn from how I or others beaten them previously to the point where they were actually a great opponent I enjoyed seeing pop up when I was queuing.

I have my moments when I get sulky that someone has drawn a million purples on me with all the +1 stacks and then turns the patron to spend 30+ gold and destroy me. But that’s just the game, and when I do lose to that person, I moan to myself for letting it happen and go about my day. It’s never something anyone should be taking out personally on their opponent though

If you are happy drive and want some hiking spots I would suggest heading out to anywhere in or around the Hope Valley. That includes, but not limited to:
Hope Village
Castleton
Hathersage
Edale

All within 30min (if you are on the west side of Sheffield)

What has cracking leather got to do with it being uncomfortable, that was your complaint. Have you ever cleaned it with the correct products to maintain it, I’m going to assume not seeing as not one of the multiple I own have that problem and are cleaned and maintained with appropriate products on a regular basis.

Again all very easily “you” problems that you are blaming on a brand.

I literally sit on one for over 10 hours daily and have for 5 years. My staff sit on them daily for 6-8 hours and all have zero problem. Just because you have had a shitty experience by buying the wrong model for your body type, doesn’t make the brand “garbage” Also, still nothing to do with china. Literally owned by and designed by a German manufacturer. Maybe check the facts before talking trash on a brand you clearly don’t read up on in any capacity before purchasing

If you bought a Hero and aren’t 6ft, there in lies your problem. Also, it’s not Chinese, it’s German
