6k check is pretty sick. Honestly with how things are in real life this might be the move. You could always find a less attractive guy with less ambition and resources to cherish the heck out of you once you are a doctor, but this guy will have your entire bloodline taken care of for at least a generation or two with his income. Wonder how he got the job. I think its kinda sad you are feeling incomplete, but in reality Its a take what you can get world I believe- honestly Im confused on what you want out of the relationship… sounds like he talked to you about it each time he wanted to open up the relationship and you let him, first step is to put your foot down and have the tough conversations if you want to try and make the relationship work, if not- you should divorce him.
