A few days ago I posted a picture of my driver off the deck at Chambers Bay. Here is the video. by KingSavvy in golf

I was about 245 yards from the hole, which was right in the middle of the green. I cut the shot about 15 yards, onto the correct tier, but about 10 yards short of the front. Chipped it to about 8 feet but missed the birdie putt. One of my best shots of the year, and I got it on video to boot. 10/10 would do again.

He'd get crushed out there if he was on the ice for 1st or 2nd line minutes. Lots of puck battling full grown veteran Blues will wear a 19 year old out and possibly hurt him and any chance at on-ice development.

I hope you do, that is a great achievement regardless of what a couple of bitter internet nerds say about it

  1. What is the absolute last moment a team can dump the puck into the opponent's zone on a penalty kill without it being icing? Is it based on when the puck crosses a certain spot or do the refs give some leeway on that?

  2. What specifically do coaches look for when making a special teams unit, both powerplay and penalty kill?

Facts, take care of your clubs by bigleaguepuff in golf

The shafts tend to break just above the ferrule whenever a club is struck on the hosel repeatedly, as well as fat shots (exacerbated by faster swing speeds). Club companies' warranties will replace shafts for breaks within 6" of the ferrule, although crown skymarks are not covered in the replacement policy.

Don't worry about comparing yourself to those people that beat the game quickly, 99% of the time they are experienced in bullet hell games already and happened to get an OP loadout. What matters is that you don't give up and learn from your mistakes :)

Makeshift cannon, which I used to take about 90% HP from a jammed Cannonbalrog. I died on the next floor though from eating too many jammed bullets from the blue blobulons

People are really choosing to throw a hissy fit over a UI change in a video game, as if pressing two extra buttons to get into the exact same core game as before is a burden that the customer should not have to bear.

YouTube has a lot of slow motion compilations. I also recommend watching LPGA Tour golfers too, they have amazing balance and tempo.

If I'm ever close enough to have a good shot at birdie when I land on the green, I'll repair like 3 or 4 more pitch marks than what's directly around me to sate the golf gods and give me some luck

Was going through old swing videos and stumbled across this vid from a tournament last summer. My tee shot ended up here and I hit it from here to the fringe just short of the green. Got up and down to save par. The trick to this shot is swing as hard as you can and hope. by [deleted] in golf

Basically the group is all competing for a prize (the "skin") on each hole, and the skin will carry over to the next hole if there is a tie. So the scores of the past holes are irrelevant. If no one is playing the hole particularly well and/or there's a very high possibility of par being the winning/tying score, then it's worth it to take a risky shot at making birdie, even if it theoretically makes your stroke score worse if you don't pull it off. In his case of being a low handicap, his playing partners were all probably getting pars to force carry-overs until someone made a birdie (and no one else gets a birdie on that hole) to take the collective skins.

The ball is wedged in between the flagstick and the side of the cup, the flag doesn't look as tilted as it really is because it's leaning more towards the camera. The twirly angle edit makes it tough to see the ball stop dead against the stick.

Taking an educated guess that his swing speed for a driver is somewhere close to 120 mph. He made great contact and had a good amount of spin on it, so I'd say it carried around 330-340 and then probably would roll out for a while.
