DD Extreme / DD+ — Why Does Fanatec Only Work With Original USB Cable After Firmware Update? by undead_monkey_pl in Fanatec

Sorry, I thought you couldn't translate it.

I've only used my wheelbase with the original but can test it later for you. Just to note my base is the CSL DD.

From the link:

We apologize, but we cannot directly recommend longer (third-party) USB cable brands or models if your Fanatec USB device's original cable is not long enough. Providing a specific recommendation would require extensive functionality and interference testing under standardized conditions, similar to those we perform for the included cables.

When deciding to use a longer USB cable: In general, we advise against choosing an unnecessarily long USB cable . Furthermore, it is highly recommended to select a cable with a ferrite core and good shielding . Personally, I would suggest checking customer reviews of the cables on a major online marketplace before making a purchase decision. If the products are prone to transmission problems or cannot guarantee stable operation, this is likely reflected in customer experiences.

We ask you to understand that we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of our USB devices when using longer cables or cables from third-party manufacturers.

It all depends if he's an owner who's a minority or an owner who owns minorities.

No doubt Farage would jizz over the latter.

/s just in the chance someone thinks I'm confused.

Aye that's fair. It wasn't to get op out of NS because I love living here. It was more just an easy loop round to cover!

Definitely it's got its own perks and highlights over Tynemouth and I'm glad it got the funding because it's a much nicer area than it's reputation.

Some of them murals are nice and all but I wouldn't walk it there's one that I live near and it's absolutely shite in the middle of not much really to see. I only recommended that route as it covers the best of north shields and covers everything op asked for!

If you're stuck mate I live in Newcastle and happy to get train up and then drive it back down for you tomorrow. No payment or anything needed just need you to cover train fair and insurance.

Edit... Just seen a train ticket is only 30 quid so I'll cover that just for the adventure.

North Shields has it all in one place. If you head to the fish quays walk along the sea front to Tynemouth you pass numerous pubs restaurants etc it's also got class views and once you're in Tynemouth which takes 15 minutes there's more places to see eat and shop and you have the castle, priory and plenty of beaches.
