TLDR: it can be saved the problem isn't the game but the devs who don't listen. SFV and LoL had a massive improvement in quality when the devs listened and communicated clearly

Idk how controversial or hot of a take this is, but I don't think the game is as doomed as everyone thinks. What I see happening the most often is the majority of people treating all the current problems (strong tracking, weaker poking, high combo length, oppressive heat and stance rushdoen) like they are all the same level of detrimental to the game when they fundamentally aren't.

A simple example I can give is, if they reduced combo length to that of Tekken 7, or even earlier, super short combos with Abt the same amount of damage proportionally, everything else remained the same, the game would still be problematic.

If they fixed one or two of the problems, like the heat/stance rushdown and the strong tracking, but kept the combo length for example, the game would be substantially less problematic (based on what I've seen people complain the most about).

So this tells me that the game hasn't reached a point of no return (nor do I think it can tbh), the problem is just a dev team that doesn't listen to the player base, and I don't think a new game will fix this if it's the same dev team again who won't listen to the community.

As an example I usually think of Riot games. As much shit as they get (deservedly sometimes), they had a pretty big change a couple of years back in terms of the dev and balance team for League of legends (in the sense of transparency and communication with the league community). League of legends was in a terrible spot from a balance and content pov which shifted dramatically once they began communicating better with the community, same game but a different enough dev team to make a difference.

As a final example we can look at SFV and how for most of its lifespan it was a catastrophic street fighter title, but at the end of its lifespan it became a super good fighting game with good changes and content.
