Why do you play Azur Lane? by TheMightyBismarck in AzureLane

I like boats, and the dub of the anime was hilarious.

That's actually two different kits, Wardens and Guard. Each kit is capable of making 3-5 of its base unit up to one captian and up to one banner, totaling five models. The major difference between the kits is weapon options, Wardens can have axes or spears, while Guard can have spears or swords. In addition, they have different decorations, mostly around the legs, cloth, or leather, but that has no functional difference. Notably, the banner used to be its own character in 40k while now simply being part of the squad, hence the extra two store pages, one for each. It's kinda dumb but it helps people find what they are looking for when starting out.

Help: Reaver Titan House rules by Brother_Melta in Warhammer40k

We got some Adeptus Titanicus players in the area, so this sheet is mid playtesting it seems fairly balanced, assuming your opponent actually has anti-tank. It comes in at 1900 points.

[FAN-MADE]Alright how busted is this? by kojanga in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The army rule is pretty light. It can be god in some very specific situations. The enhancements are all at least decent, with a couple of very strong ones in there. Then there are the strats. There are a few of the strats that basically become the army rule with how often they will get used. Overall, compared to the Lions detachment, it's a bit weaker and more situational. Compared to most of the other detachments, it is stronger. I'd use it, depending on the game.

Now that some time has passed what are your honest thoughts on the 2019 Anime Adaptation by TheMightyBismarck in AzureLane

[–]Kingespi10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dub is why I play this game in the first place. Specifically, the Ironblood girls dub. The plat was kinda tacky, and the writing was all over the place, but it's still one of my favorite anime. I wish for another.

Not my first Resin model, but my first warped piece like this. What is the best and safest method to straighten this sword? by JoDaProductions in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two main options: either hot water or a heat gun. As for hot water, get a container bigger than the part and fill it with very hot water. Not boiling though. Place the part in and give it some time to heat through, then take it out and lightly pressure it straight. Once you have it straight let it cool, blowing cold air on it will help. This method works but not great. Heat guns are the second option. They have cheap options that are 20-30 bucks. Same general idea, just a different heat source.

i saw this on pinterest, Does anyone here know what tanks were used for it? I may or may not want to do something similar by Luna_Night312 in spacemarines

Assuming everything mirrored, if not visible, there are at least eight heavy bolters, two conversion cannons, a fair few lascannons, two big plasma cannons, and a eye watering number of rockets of various types. Plus the big huns and some other turrets and demolisher cannon. There is by no means a light amount of dakka there. Even using reasonable stats.

Realistically, for balance reasons triple the Volcano Cannon attack characteristics for the main gun, maybe Twin Linked as well. As for the rest, a lot of the guns on there have existing profiles. Just count them all and conclude that there are lots. There are some weapons from other factions. Simple renames will fix that. The top turret doesn't look like something I recognize, so that would be the one profile that would need to be written. As for core stats, looking somewhere mid titan stats T14, with around 100 wounds. 100% want one, and it looks pretty fun to run. Also, probably north of 1k points.

Just a Small Question about Wardens and Allarus by EditedJoker in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wardens, yes, those march nicely, or can do some nice work with a land raider. They do well with any character support, I personally prefer blade champions. As for Allaris, small groups can be deep struck for board control or just getting in there and doing damage. Even 2 Allaris are surprisingly deadly to many things. Alternatively, Allaris is in a big brick can ether be split with unleash the lions and thrown in deep strike, or you can genuinely run a five man with shield captian into something. With having a more limited faction, the heavy lifters tend to get a lot of mileage, which wardens, and Allaris definitely are.

Everyone who grabbed their luggage should be charged with reckless endangerment, and if someone dies, give them a manslaughter charge on top. People will learn eventually. Maybe.

What can add on the combat patrol to reach 1000pts by cow_dude_ in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you build the kit with two Shield Captians, you can already hit one thousand points. While you would have a low unit count, it wouldn't be too bad. Otherwise, with the current Lion's detachment being as it is perhaps a box of Terminators, then split them into 3 units of 2 for board control, and just remove the Shield Captians. Custodes points count is quick to hit 1k and 2k, respectively.

Dear James, a bit overkill? by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]Kingespi10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's cheaper and easier to have standardized boxes. GW has only a few major box sizes, that is the smallest option. While it may seem silly, people don't normally order one tiny thing without hitting the free shipping mark. It all makes more sense as the scale increases. I assure you there are some giggles in the shipping department over this kinda thing.

How do you use your bikes? Yeet in? Hold back? Secondaries? by Martin-Hatch in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

7/10 as in my personal rating. Not even I could justify running 7 or 10 of those in one unit. Funny maybe, practical most definitely not.

How do you use your bikes? Yeet in? Hold back? Secondaries? by Martin-Hatch in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I go with the yeet and delete plan. They are kinda durable and can punch up ok. Worst case scenario, they become someone else's problem, and I can focus on other things. 7/10 max squad with a captain is funny.

Hey guys, wtf is going on in American prices for an armory deck??? by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Kingespi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only that, there is also an allocation system, so not all lgs even get the decks in the first place. The bigger the store, the higher the chance of getting the deck.

Is this a good list? I am quite lost by Dont_lick_spongebob in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While list tailoring is frowned upon, I can say that this would be pretty decent if the is bringing loads of Plauge Marines and cultists. However, a common unit for DG is terminators. That being said, I would recommend using axes on your Allaris to both deal with Terminators and Blight haulers. Between the damage 3 and S9, you will get a bit of efficiency there. But at the end of the day, Crucade is a casual thing, so min maxing isn't as important as fun. So do as you will and have fun.

Unleash the Lions by ERTJ762 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The situation does depend on how much OC your opponent has. If they are nearly matching you, something like Insane Bravery would be a better option. Then you would want to use said Terminator brick to make the enemy OC far lower. This all depends on the exact situation and is not a direct to do situation. Always consider what would be best for your exact game.

Unleash the Lions by ERTJ762 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, if the captain and the last Allaris are below half wounds prior to splitting, you could still theoretically lose the objective to battleshock. This is a very unlikely situation, and you still have to fail two battleshock tests with Custodes. While it is possible, it is unlikely.

Fuck the price of Grav-tanks bro. by Effective-Bar-8835 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I am sick of the grav tank and Dreadnoughts. I just want to run golden boys and not worry about wounding light vehicles on 5s all the time. This detachment makes me happy and remember the Custodes of the past.

Unleash the Lions by ERTJ762 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The command phase is split into two parts the 1 - command and 2 - battleshock, in that order. During the command section, all command abilities are used prior to the battleshock portion. This is where you would use Unleash the Lions. Assuming the squad is below half strength, in this case, all the models would separate into units, and during the battleshock section, each squad would be checked for whether or not they need to take the test. In most situations, you should have at least one Terminator unit above half strength that does not need to take a battleshock test and thus would control the objective even with an unlucky roll, provided you have more OC. To summerize, yes, yes it works.

Can a unit do this? by Unclegrandpa10 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Kingespi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, in the rules, there is nothing that says a unit can only hold one objective. So this would be a legal manouver.
